I didn't take time to enter the fray over a twitter claim that a self-identified "postal work" in Ohio bragged that he destroyed GOP mail-in ballots. I didn't report on this because it was a story on Twitter. Now, this clown is saying, "I was only kidding" or words to that effect. And the Daily Beast editors are laughing their collective butt off, thinking they pulled one over on the Right Wing and Rush Limbaugh.
Here is my response:
Who says the guy was only kidding? Answer: the twit that tweeted, that's who. Looks to me like we have a choice, here. And, that is whether to believe the first claim or the second. The Daily Beast believes the man's Twitter Profile is true because, ah, no one lies when writing their profile, right (?) . . . . . . and the profile proves the man (?) lives in California and is not a postal worker in Ohio. So there you have it, proof positive that this was a joke.
Com'on folks. If the man is a Democrat, and that is the only question we need to ask, then I am going with the first account. As editor, I will argue that this clown suddenly realized that he was bragging about committing a very serious crime and changed his story.
Just to be clear, I intend to accept the first admission and do all that I can to push the storyline that Democrats approve of this sort of thing.
Years ago, a congressional Democrat, faced with evidence that an accusation against a fellow GOP congressman was false, made this point: "Its not the crime that is important, here, but the seriousness of the accusation."
Harry Reid charged that Romney had not paid taxes for an entire decade . . . . a totally made up accusation that he announced on the Senate floor (Did you know you can't be prosecuted for anything you say on the Senate floor, true), and, incredibly, this godless phony of a Mormon continued with his charge throughout the 2012 campaign. Why? "Its not the crime that is important, here, but the seriousness of the accusation."
Well, if he can do it, so can the rest of us. If anyone asks, tell them that J David Smithson, editor of the well known blog, Midnight Review - new and revised, said it was true. Or, don't give me the credit and announce the first tweet as true, on your own. I mean, no one can argue that the story is impossible. A Democrat postal worker doing what he can to help defeat Trump???? OF COURSE it is possible, if not probable.
Stop the lies and the evil deeds of Democrat postal workers all over this nation!! Vote Trump. Forget about illegals. I say, "Deport all rogue postal workers."
See you at the polls.
