Shaun King, here: Planet Earth is made up of about 200 countries. We are the only nation in the world that has more guns than people. That's no small thing because we are the third largest country in the world. China, for instance, has 4.9 guns per 100 people. We have 112 guns per 100 people. No other country is even close. China's population is over four times larger than ours, but we have almost 23 times more guns than they do.
And so goes the case (in part) for an immoral nation built on the backs of slave traders, and native Indian genocide. In this excerpt (above), he ignores the fact that most of the guns owned in this country are owned by its free citizenship; not the case in China where private gun ownership is against the law, and, "ownership" is limited to the communist military that rules the nation. When you stop to think for a moment, Shaun King's comparison is a little silly, if not downright stupid. Couple the fact of American gun ownership with the fact that we are most free population in the history of the world, and my point is given emphasis ~ editor.
