Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
GOP primary vote: Early reporting . . . . . . . and the Kascih/Cruz cabal loses big time.
Update as of 4 am, 4/27: Turns out Trump lost six counties in Connecticut, but won all the counties in the remaining four states. Still, he took all the delegates in Connecticut. They were hoping he would finish the night with somewhere close to 900 total delegates . . . he finished with 950 secure delegates and [maybe] close to another 40 free delegates.
Update as of 10:45 pt: Did you know that Trump won every county in each of the five states, tonight? When was the last time that happened? Answer: never.
Updated as of 6:23 pacific time.
