It sounds good, even reasonable to many, for a leader to shout, "Kick their ass if they try that again" or similar wording. Hear me out.
There are those of us who will "take it outside" when insulted and/or physically assaulted. I am one of those people. BUT !!!! that does not work on a larger scale. It is one thing to defend yourself. It is a very different thing to participate in a bloody riot that ends in declarations for revenge, a little jail time, and not a few hospital visits. Big big difference.
There is a time to stand and fight, and there is a time to demand protection from the local police force and wait for them to give us the protections we need. The Trump rallies must never be allowed to devolve into a platform for the next major gang fight . . . . and I am not so sure that this is not where we are headed.
Today, (Saturday the 12th) a third consecutive Trump rally was invaded by MoveOn.org radicals. The rally continued, but not before those who believe in violent reformation made their point. Everyone involved, on both sides, including Republican AND Progressive Socialist leadership, need to speak up for the 1st Amendment. But Hillary, Bernie Sanders, and the remaining GOP candidacy are all using the Trump circumstance to further their own personal agenda's.
Trust me, it's easy to criticize Donald Trump. And, as things stand, today, I have no intentions of voting from him should he win the nomination. But there is no logic to the argument that the near riots at his rallies are his fault.
Do you know what is missing from the day's headlines? I can have an answer, and it is this:
"Trump supporters invade the rallies for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton."
Anyone read such headlines? And why not? Because this is not about the Right using brute force to get is way and silence the opposition . . . . . only the Left.
'Nuff said.
The problem with violence at Trump rallies starts with Trump himself
ReplyDeleteTrump is not just condoning violence. He is encouraging it.

Trump incites
ReplyDeleteOn February 23, Tapper noted, Trump said of a protester: "I'd like to punch him in the face."
"February 27: 'In the good ol' days, they'd have ripped him out of that seat so fast.'
February 1: 'Knock the crap out of him, would you? Seriously, OK just knock the hell — I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise,'
crowd follows
March 9, 2016, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. A black protester being escorted out of a Trump rally was sucker-punched by a white bystander:
March 8, 2016, in Jupiter, Florida. Politico reports that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski "forcibly" grabbed a female reporter for the right-wing Breitbart news site, "nearly bringing her down to the ground," when she attempted to ask a question after a Trump press conference.
March 1, 2016, in Louisville, Kentucky. A black woman was surrounded and shoved by a number of individuals at a Trump rally.
Feb. 29, 2016, in Radford, Virginia. A photographer was slammed to the ground by a Secret Service agent after cursing toward the agent during a dispute over where the photographer was allowed to work from during a Trump rally; the Secret Service says the incident is being investigated.
Dec. 14, 2015, in Las Vegas. Individuals at a Trump rally yelled "Sieg Heil" and "light the motherfucker on fire" toward a black protester who was being physically removed by security staffers.
Dec. 11, 2015, in New York City. Protesters "affiliated with various Arab-American and Muslim-American groups," per the AP, were "forcibly ejected" from a fundraiser at which Trump was speaking.
Dec. 3, 2015, in New York City. A security guard took a sign from and struck an immigration activist during a protest after a Trump event.
Oct. 23, 2015, in Miami. A man at a Trump rally knocked down and kicked a Latino protester.
Oct. 14, 2015, in Richmond, Virginia. Individuals at a Trump rally shoved and took signs from a group of immigration activists. One spit in a protester's face
All of your examples, above, have to do with Trump and related folks, defending himself and/or his political rallies from Leftist thugs who seek him out, and use violence to shut down his assemblies. Further, there are no Trump people attacking Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton. This all comes from the Left . . . period.
DeleteTrump would not have a single quote involving violent reaction, if not FIRST, for the attacks of MoveOn and the BLM, who came to his rallies, confronted him and his attendees. Absolutely none of this is on Trump.
DeleteI can't believe you're making excuses for these people. 'run to the white'
DeleteLocal law enforcement sources told MSNBC, that members of the Trump campaign told them that the 30 black students needed to be removed, even though their silent presence violated no rules of the rally, at the Valdosta State University campus, nor any laws.
But police said they were directed to remove them at the specific request of a Trump staffer, on Trump’s behalf, in spite of the legality of their protest.
“A member of the [Trump] event staff approached a member of our agency and requested that the group be asked to leave,” Capt. Stryde Jones, a Lowndes County Sheriff’s officer, said to the network.
Protesting while black... you'd stand with Bull Connor at Selma if you were there.
What a load of demonstrable crap. For starters, you are quoting MSNBC, an agency of the Marxist, One World, Left, an agency that collectively believes in the political strategy Alinsky calls "ways and means." That being the case, their testimony is suspect from the beginning and does not deserve to be given the time of day.
DeleteBut more than this, you imply that the cops agreed to do something quite illegal in escorting "peaceful protesters" from a Trump assembly. Your are accusing the cops of breaking the law, not the Trump staffers. That is not even a good effort at a lie, but what do you care.
Me? I do not think in terms of race, so take your race baiting commentary somewhere else.
