1. The final total in Iowa is 49.8 for Hillary and 49.7 for Sanders with Sanders actually getting more delegates than Hillary, folks who came over to his side of the aisle after the balloting, when O'Malley terminated his campaign.
2. States in the GOP camp: the divide between red states and blue states is 20 to 14 respectively; that is 20 GOP states versus 14 for the Dems. To put this in historical perspective: in 2008, the divide was 5 states for the GOP to 35 for the Dems.
3, There are more Republican state legislators than at any time in the history of the GOP.
4. As to the Iowa Caucus, itself, the Dems saw 171,000 in attendance, down from the 2008 total of 241,000 (the last time the Dems had an Iowan caucus, while the GOP brought in 185,000, up from the 2012 record total of 122,000.
The enthusiasm level is what will win or lose the election for either side . . . . . . and right now, that is working against the Progressive Marxists in the Democrat Party.
