Is De Blasio laying the foundation for his own demise?

<<<  In my opinion,  any politician having anything to do with Alvin Sharpton,  is a danger to a free society and should be rejected for that reason  . . .  whether his name is De Blasio or B Obama or Hillary Clinton or whomever.

NYDN:
In front of emotional supporters, Mayor de Blasio signed legislation Monday that will prohibit employers from inquiring about a candidate’s criminal record prior to a job offer.
“Today I see hope for people like me,” said Marilyn Scales, 52, of the Bronx, who said she never has had a full-time job because of her record for dealing heroin.
The mayor also signed legislation to step up regulation of the car wash industry. Car washes will have to obtain biannual city licenses as well as a $150,000 bond to cover costs if they are sued for wage theft.
Steve Rotlevi, owner of Zoom Car Spa in Brooklyn and head of Association of Car Washers, said the law was onerous.
"It is putting a gun to small business' head," he said. "It is the highest requirement for any city licensed industry."

Editor's notes:  Want to solve the problem?  Pass a law that prohibits lawsuits against employers for hiring people who are rapists,  big time thieves, arsonists,  folks guilty of aggravated homicide and have served their time,  and on and on.

Of course,  we really don't know what the legislation provides, so,  we will just have to wait for reaction to this legislation.  Maybe it is not as bad an idea as it seems.

In the second case,  dealing with the car wash industry.  sounds like a simple accusation (even if proven to be untrue) can shut down a business.  As a contractor, in California,  I know this:  Any claim against my bonding company means cancellation by that company  (if they have to cover my butt),  and,  without a bond,  I am out of business, by law.  Clearly,  the existence of this law tells me,  that wage disagreements are so weighted in favor of the employee,  as to be draconian in nature.  I mean,  if the threat of legal action is so great that I have to insure against that expense,  the legal fight is discriminatory against the employer.

The coming election cycle should be interesting.  De Blasio,  like Obama,  is an authoritarian socialist with little regard for his police force or employers,   whom he sees as "The Repressive Man."   This kind of thinking is right out of a Marxist handbook,  and is the language of revolution.  Will thinking people in New York vote to continue De Blasio style socialism or see the era of their ways,  and kick his butt to the curb?  Time will tell.

    1. You don't listen to Fox so how would you know what Fox reports? In fact you don't. Fox not only reported on the 9 black churches recently burned and found this: One church was struck by lightning and burned and two others were accidental fires. Of the six remaining churches, only three investigations are complete.

During the same period of time, 6 churches owned by white membership were burned to the ground. Hail to the "right wing media" for doing its job.
