The training effort is moving so slowly that critics question whether it can produce enough capable fighters quickly enough to make a difference. Military officials said last week that they still hope for 3,000 by year’s end. Privately, they acknowledge the trend is moving in the wrong direction.
On June 26, 2014, the White House said it was asking Congress for $500 million for a three-year train-and-equip program. It only got started in May, however.
Editor's notes: Understand that ISIS, a year ago, could have been destroyed in a matter of months. Instead, Obama has taken action to insure that ISIS prolificate* itself to the point of being impossible to eradicate.
Understand that since this past June, Obama has enlisted 100 fighters-to-be-trained. Let that sink in. In one stinking year, Obama has managed to coax 100 native troops into the fight. 100.
They are not ready for the fight, and, what in the world are 100 men going to do, anyway? Rather than stamping out this plague, Obama has decided that waiting for ISIS to become a systemic/world wide threat is preferable to any threat of "collateral damage." He does not want to kill a single "innocent," so he has decided to let ISIS continue to mass murder "innocents" and to do so with impunity.
What a mess this moron is leaving for the next president, whoever that might be. Like Clinton with bin Laden, Obama is going to pass this Islamic threat off to the next president.

DeleteHe stabilized the economy with the auto bail-out and stimulus? Really? The stimulus added somewhere between 1500 and 3000 permanent jobs at a cost of 1 trillion dollars. Did those jobs bring down the unemployed rate? Well, for starters, its kind of a stupid question in view of the fact that 3,000 jobs was only a drop in the bucket. But more than this, when he signed the Stimulus with all its promises, unemployment was at 7.5% and he promised it would not go above 8 %, like he knew what he was talking about. Instead, it rose to 10%.
As to the auto bailout: he destroyed the pension funds of several police and teacher unions, in an illegal move to take control of that industry. Chrysler later had to sell out to Fiat, and the GM stock he purchased, had to be sold at a 1.5 billion dollar loss. His "Cash for Clunkers" was a laughable joke; his electric golf cart give away was embarrassingly misguided.
The fact of the recovery that really matters is this: Central Planning has NOTHING to do with the creation of private sector jobs. Because capitalism at its roots, really and truly works, the American business community is pulling itself up, in spite of the stupidity of D.C.

You and no body agree. One year ago, ISIS was "JV." Remember? Now they are in 14 countries, own half of Iraq and Syria, have murdered 60,000 in that year while Obama is killing one leader here, and another leader, over there. I mean, ISIS is being reinforced because of Obama's GITMO policy. Just how uninformed are you? Anyway, his last three Defense Secretaries all agree that his is a feckless foreign policy. Perhaps the biggest insult of all, is Jimmy Carter's condemnation of the Obama Doctrine just this past week. Kind of funny when Carter thinks someone else is a moron, no?
