Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
Today: A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows 54 percent oppose ObamaCare, with only 39 percent, the lowest ever in favor. (no article, just this never changing fact about the imagined "popularity" of ObamaCare).
Unemployment is now 5.5% in the U.S., down significantly from 6.3% at this point last year. There were 5.4 million job openings in the U.S. in April -- the highest number of openings in 15 years. It is a record high since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began tracking monthly job openings in December 2000.
Obama approval at 49% - Rasmussen

"Ahead of schedule?" What are you talking about and who's schedule? Certainly not Obama's. 5% unemployment was his promise for 2010. If that is ahead of schedule, get some help taking your meds on time.
Food stamps up to 45 million from 27 million; poverty levels up; 30% unemployment with black youth and 15% with balck adults and the labor force is at 30 yr lows. What is your "anonymous" talking about?
