What a bunch of amateurs we have in the WH and State Department.

What a bunch of amateurs we have in the WH and State Department.  After admitting near the end of last year,  just a couple of months ago,  that he had no strategy for defeating ISIS,  Obama and his State Department are now asking for ideas from a a public that knows absolutely nothing about the demands involved in winning and waging such a war.  Encounter groups,  "tweet warfare," roundtable conference meeting, breakout groups, and, compromise with the darkside,  are all features of this Administration in its closing days.

The one good thing about this expressed nonsense is this:  A larger population of American's is getting to witness the idealistic ineptitude of the Dreamers and Utopians that came out of the drug days of the 60's and 70's, than ever before.  I went to school with these morons.  But,  I must confess,  I had no idea they were serious about "flower power."  Really.  I thought they just making music.  Geeeeesh.

    1. Actually, after posting your comment, above, I decided that if, after more than year, you have no clue as to what I believe, no point arguing with you.

    2. If I had your beliefs, I'd be ashamed of being called on them too.

    3. Conference meetings, encounter groups and tweet warfare are the things I am ashamed. You can pretend that this is effective governance. Me, I have seen what this nonsense produces and put it all on the same plain as Student Body Meeting in high school. Flower power has always been their fantasy, and today, we get to see its demonstrable failure.

    4. No, what we're actually seeing is the result of the GW Bush invasion of Iraq. If Saddam was in power, there would be parity, Iran would be in check, there would be no ISIS, no challenge to his authority from within. Sanctions and WMD inspections would have kept him marginalized and under control. He was a ruthless dictator but maybe that is what that region needed and Bush was too stupid to see it. Reagan, however, was not.

    5. There are no sanctions, under Obama, that show any concrete signs of working. None. Nor would they have worked in Saddam's Iraq. He had oil and billions of dollars in currency, currency that he was using to fund terror, world wide. He gave families of suicide bombers, $25,000 each and intended on being the financial hub for terror. WMD's were all over Iraq. There have been several stories, of late, in the NYTmes, and I know, personally, two men, one a private contractor and the other a member of the military, who's job it was to defuse or neutralize WMD weaponry when found. Bush's plan for the Middle East was working, but Obama and the Flower Children came to town, with their "hands not fists" nonsense, and we all see how that went.

    6. Your logic is bogus, but what could we expect from a Bush apologist?

Do you really think the "5000 shells" of "wmd" reported by the NYT in Iraq would have exposed America to sufficient risk that we needed to spend 3 Trillion dollars, kill 100,000 people, commit war crimes, put America in a recession, strengthen Iran, destabilize the Middle East, and create ISIS ... all for a tiny amount of rotting WMD material left over from the 1980s?

Nuts ... or pathologically stupid, which is it?

    7. Try "tens of thousands of WMD's." Or maybe you weren't listening to Saddam's admissions, or his refusals to allow UN inspections? If we had left in place, the 23,000 troops Bush had planned on leaving, none of this would have happened . . . . . and most of America knows this to be true. Why the hell do you think you all got your political butts handed to you. 403 deaths/casualties in the homeland since Obama took office; open cases against ISIS terror operatives in all but one state in our union; and nothing but luck save America from another 1000 deaths (the underwear bomber, the van bomder in NY City, and countless unreported incidents, nation wide. And I put 9/11 at the feet of the Dems, as well, It was Jamie Gorelick (Clinton's intel adviser) who built walls separating each of our intel agencies from the others, so that we would not "over react" in the face of terror threats. But more than this bit of idiocy, all of 9/11 was planned on Clinton's watch. Bill, himself, expressed regrets for not having killed Osama when he had the opportunity.
