Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. The Flesch-Kincaid readability test scores all of our president's state of the union speeches. Obama's speak on an 8th grade level while Bush's speeches were at a 10th grade level. Bush read 4 books and more, at times, per week, Apparently Obama reads the papers, rather books or national security reports, if we believe his responses to domestic and international crisis that effect him in negative ways. "I didn't know until I read it in the papers this morning, before coming to this presser" is a statement he has made on several occasions.
Uninformed, unread, and simplistic speech, have become his trademark for those who are informed and well read.
Still, Obama put himself on the 2014 ballot when he stood, and arrogantly stated, "Make no mistake, my policies are on this ballot." I agree. Result ? As a result of the most non-partisan poll taken within the US, Obama just got his collective butt kick. He is a man without a party, with no political power, and man who just presented his State of the Union speech to the smallest audience of American onlookers since 2000 . . . . since before George Bush.
And that is the reason you all pretend the 2014 midterms did not happen? Because you couldn't get your people to come out and vote?! Just waot 'til 2016. Lets see what your excuse will be then.
So great to have a president who is intelligent, articulate.... as compared with the previous president.
