Judge blocks Obama immigration order . . . A federal judge in south Texas issued an injunction Monday temporarily blocking a program President Obama announced in November that would defer deportation for about 5 million immigrants living in the United States illegally. The White House quickly issued a statement saying the federal government would appeal the decision. The statement left unclear whether the ruling would, for now, delay the administration's anti-deportation effort.
The injunction, accompanied by a 123-page opinion issued by U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen in Brownsville, bars federal immigration officials from implementing Deferred Action for Parents of Americans, or DAPA, and expanding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. The first phase of the administration's program, expanding DACA, has been scheduled to start accepting applications on Wednesday. It appears that will now be delayed. Los Angeles Times

White House is taking this very seriously, putting out its statement at 2:30 am vowing to appeal.

Were these people not Christians? . . . The White House Sunday issued a statement condemning the barbaric beheadings of more than a dozen Egyptian Coptic Christians, but somehow the statement failed to note that that they were killed because they were Christian – or even that they were Christian at all. White House Dossier
Will Roberts or Kennedy save Obamacare? . . . The health care law's insurance subsidies—and, by extension, its fundamental structure—can't survive unless one Republican-appointed justice votes to preserve them. But lawyers on both sides of the case are divided over who is more likely to cast that vote: Chief Justice John Roberts, or Justice Anthony Kennedy. National Journal
Roberts gets a second chance. Will he take it or go down in history as the Republican who allowed Socialism to advance so much further in this country?

Michelle's secret Aspen ski trip uncovered . . . While President Obama flew to California for a few rounds of golf this weekend, his wife and daughters arrived in Aspen on Friday and would've stayed under the radar had it not been for a car crash and some eagle-eyed Instagrammers. The motorcade carrying Michelle Obama and her girls was forced to stop when it came across a two car collision. They were permitted to sneak around it. Daily Mail
Extraordinary cost to fly her out to Aspen every year when there's plenty of great skiing near Washington in Virginia or the Poconos.
Obama seeks massive new spending on IRS . . . And not just because of Obamacare. Only 483 of the 9,245 new hires President Obama is seeking for the IRS in his 2016 budget proposal would be assigned to work on Obamacare programs, according to a budget summary published by the federal tax agency. Washington Examiner
Growing Obama-union divide . . . President Obama has long been a friend of organized labor, wholeheartedly supported by unions that helped boost him to victory in both his presidential campaigns. But the groups are pushing back and speaking out more publicly about things like the Keystone XL Pipeline, which they believe will benefit their members. Fox News
Obama on Mount Rushmore? . . . Leave the iconic national site “as is,” say most Americans. But 21 percent of Democrats - one in five- would like to see the face of President Obama join those presidents in the future. Meanwhile, 16 percent of Republicans say Ronald Reagan should be the next portrait to be added.  Washington Times

Satire: ISIS agrees to three-year war . . . ISIS commanders today announced that they had agreed to President Obama’s time limit of three years for the war between the Islamic state and the United States and its allies. “We think three years is enough time to decide who’s best,” an ISIS spokesman said today. U.S. and ISIS officials cautioned that time may be added at the end of the three years if the fighting is interrupted by injuries. White House Dossier
