"President
Obama's administration will spend 2015 taking on energy controversies from
fracking to smog, from interstate air pollution to coal-burning power plants -
and in December, his negotiators will head to Paris to try to reach a global agreement on climate
change. In between all that, he just might make a decision on the Keystone XL
pipeline. ... Republicans ... vow to
wield their spending and investigative powers to ensure none of this goes
down easily. The collision between a strengthened GOP and a president with just
two years to cement his legacy will be one of 2015's biggest policy dramas,
while setting markers that will have repercussions for the 2016 presidential
campaign. ... The Obama administration won't just be turning out new
regulations - it will also implement ones it has been crafting over the last
six years." http://politi.co/1zMgESq
Editor’s notes:
FYI: fracking is a process that
has been accepted by several Democrat governors including California ’s own, Jerry Brown.
Interstate air-pollution has already been effectively dealt with over
the course of the past 25 years. You
should know that pollution on our nation’s highways has been cut by 95% since
1980, due to a host of passed legislation. All Obama is doing, here, is setting up to claim the credit for this
success. As far as coal-burning plants
are concerned: apparently no one on the
Left cares about the fact that Obama is doing great harm to Middle Class living
in the coal-burning regions of this country. Understand that his regulations clamp down on
the coal industry before there is technology to over-ride his harmful
policies. Finally, his efforts at establishing a world-wide
federation to fight the Utopian fantasy of “global warming” has been a
monumental failure, beginning with his
2009 trip to Geneva . We all know that “global warming” is about
wealth redistribution, and nothing
more. Heck, Obama made some sort of deal with China ,
recently, that bound China to
nothing, in terms of pollution controls,
they are not already doing. In fact,
I would venture to write that,
many of you, have already
forgotten about this China/US agreement.
At any
rate, the next two years will wind up
being the grandest testimony to the efforts of the most prolific Bullshiters in
presidential history. Sorry for the
vulgarity, but I really have no other
word for what this man does for a living.
hahaha...

What you're looking at is a preliminary assessment by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) of how 2014's globally averaged surface temperatures compare with those of prior years, all the way back to 1891. Based on this data, 2014 was the hottest year on record for the globe. That surpasses the year 1998 (now in 2nd place in the JMA dataset) and 2013 and 2010 (now tied for 3rd).
You'll also note, incidentally, that while the dataset is noisy, the upward trend is quite clear, and the decade of the 2000s is plainly warmer than the decade of the 1990s. So much for any "pause" in global warming.
the japanese are in on the conspiracy with Alinsky, ( a secret deal made in 72, the yr he died).
Sooooo, evbery region of the world heated up last year? Is that the fantasy? Do you not understand that when you average all the regional temps of the world, you get a number that is theoretical, not real. Region #1 cools by a degree, regions 2-5 remain stable, region 7 warms by 4 degrees. When you average all that together, you get "global warming." But the fact of the matter is this ( in my example); only one region was warming . . . six were either cooling or stable. So much for your Utopian math.
DeleteSecondly, going back to 1895, California average high temps at been at 61 degress (F) or lower, with a stable period dating back from 1996 to the end of 2013. What the Japs come up with makes little difference to me. The 120 temp map for Claifornia is source to the NOAA. Apparently you are not family with that organization. The chart can be found here: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-california-heat-record-20140912-story.html. You will have to reach "NOAA" on your own.
