Wave Election Review: The gubernatorial domination of the GOP continues.

More than a 1000 major local positions have "flipped" for the GOP since Obama has been president.  What is most surprising,  however,  is the rise of the GOP gubernatorial politician and the GOP's hold on some 30 state capitals.

In yesterday's wave election as to the nation's governorships,  at the top of the list was the victory of

Bruce Rauner,  by a 5 point margin, in Obama's home state of Illinois !!!!  Nothing stands out as a repudiation of the Obama Years,  more clearly than this particular race.

GOP dominance can be seen in each of the following,  as well:

Massachusetts will have its first Republican governor since Mitt Romney.

GOP gubernatorial victories in states won by Obama in 2012 include:

IllinoisMaryland,  and Massachusetts

Republican Rick Scott,  bringing a strong economic recovery to Florida in his first term as governor,   defeated Democrat Charlie Crist, a man without a political soul,  in a very close election.

Texas:  Abbot beat Wendy Davis by 20 points !!!! And to think the Dems were talking about turning this state "blue," just two months ago  . . . . . .   all such talk was nothing but Utopian blow.

Wisconsin's Scott Walker won by 5 points, his third victory in four years.

Understand that the nation's socialist unions spent 150 million dollars in this election cycle and netted exactly nothing.

Georgia's Nathan Deal won a close election.

Ohio's John Kasich and Iowa's Terry Branstad both won their re-election bids despite strong opposition from the nation’s socialist unions.

New Mexico's Susana Martinez won her re-election bid,  comfortably.

Nikki Haley won her re-election bid in South Carolina by 15 points.

Maine Republican Gov. Paul LePage survived a stiff challenge.

In Connecticut, the race between Democrat Dannel Malloy and Republican Tom Foley was too close to project a winner -- as was Colorado's gubernatorial race  between Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper and Republican challenger Bob Beauprez.
