You have the question in our headline.
The effect on Landrieu will be and is devastating. She will argue, "Vote for me because I tried to swing Congress in favor of the Louisiana people." Cassidy, her opponent, will argue, "Yes she tried, but a little too late. And, why would you vote for a Democrat Senator whose party does not represent the best interests of our state?"
That is a killer argument. Understand this: Landrieu is polling behind Cassidy by the greatest margin of any of the contested seats in this midterm . . . . 37% to 58%. That is a 21 point advantage for Cassidy. She was 16 points down before the vote today.
Cassidy, if elected, will be the 55th GOP Senator in the 114th Congress, making it very difficult (but not impossible) for the Marxist driven Progressive Party to win back the Senate in 2016.
10 Democrat Senators voting for ObamaCare will be up for re-election in 2016, including Harry Reid. If the GOP can find a gifted candidate, this moron is gone forever.
