Our presidents ranked as to their wealth.

Here are the "top ten," but all the presidents are ranked in this report,  found here.  While the rankings are of interest,  you should know that the authors are anti-colonialists,  bent on the revolutionary remodeling of our once great nation.  They are big, for example,  on making mention of which presidents were slave owners,  when,  in fact,  in the world that was,  most wealthy men did,  in fact,  own slaves.  They make no mention of Woodrow Wilson and FDR's segregation of the military,  during each of the World Wars in which they participated. They make no mention of Clinton using the "happy weed" or H Obama's cocaine usage (habit ?) during his high school and early college years.  Some of our presidents were drunks,  some womenizers,  others flat out crooks.  All are a part of our storied history.  We are a nation of men,  and men are fallible,  including the Marxist Left, who enjoy waging war against the middle class, redistributing their wealth (the middle class) as they (the Utopian leadership) pocket a few million on their way to saving the planet.  In the end,  each president played a role in our history,  and most contributed in positive ways,  in spite of their personal failings  ~  blog editor.

10. Bill Clinton - $55 Million  You should know that B Clinton was one of our poorest presidents,  coming into office.  He ranks high solely because he won the presidency,  not because of business skills or vocational endeavors  ~  editor.

In Office: 1993–2001
Even though he was just a lawyer born into a modest home, Clinton has made an unconscionable amount with his public speaking. Modernity + celebrity = straight cash homie.

9. Franklin D. Roosevelt - $60 Million

In Office: 1933–1945
Came from one of the wealthiest families in New York State. He could have pumped gas and still placed this high.

8. Herbert Hoover - $75 Million

In Office: 1929–1933
Not a lawyer! He was a mining engineer, a civil engineer, and a businessman. He did quite well.

7. Lyndon B. Johnson - $98 Million

In Office: 1963–1969
A teacher by trade, he made his money through his lovely wife, Lady Bird, and having a monopoly on a radio station.

6. James Madison - $101 Million

In Office: 1809–1817
The author of the Bill of Rights

5. Andrew Jackson - $119 Million

In Office: 1829–1837
Born into poverty, A.J. gained traction as a lawyer and then bought a plantation, reaping him millions.

4. Teddy Roosevelt - $125 Million

In Office: 1901–1909
Author, historian, explorer...Teddy was a born businessman and socialite. He knew how to play the game.

3. Thomas Jefferson - $212 Million

In Office: 1801–1809
His entrepreneurial spirit and law career eventually did help,

2. George Washington - $525 Million

In Office: 1789–1797
Did you know Georgie was so wealthy?

1. John F. Kennedy - $1 Billion

In Office: 1961–1963
JFK's New Mexico drug empire coaxed in an unconscionable amount of cash. Just kidding, it was family money going all the way back to P.J. Kennedy.

  1. While you cover for the slave traders who founded our nation, the fact remains, that we are no better than Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia. The truth needs to be told, in detail and often.

  2. Wow. It is not a question of "covering" for past misdeeds and injustice. This nation has a 500 year history, beginning with the colonies. The world was a far more savage domain, back then. A representative republic was unheard of. In fact, the printing press was a new and novel invention of that day and time, and the "Enlightenment" had not yet made it history. There were no democracies. The evolution of our republic was unique, a one of a kind, never before imagined. Our form of governance was the first of its kind, an evolution of ideals that was based on the correction of past inequities. No other government of that day and time was committed to such an experiment. So, while you pretend to be insulted by our very existence, know this: you and your buds would have done no better. In fact, you would have never broken with Great Britain. Its easy to criticize when you have no ideas of your own.
