While they laughed, he was actually making fun of a very serious matter, the fact that as a person of prominence in Chicago, he did not feel responsible for the bills he incurred and owed. And the fact that he still does not know if these bills were ever paid, is this: he does not believe that he will ever be held responsible for his chaotic and rebellious life-style.
Let's never forget that this man was raised a privileged white kid, never took part in the Civil Rights movement, did drugs and used alcohol "with enthusiasm" (his words) for three years, at least, and is now in a position of governance in which he is above the law and knows it. Along these same lines, we have his recent rejection of being a Supreme Court justice because the position was "too monastic" for his liking. In other words, he would actually have to spend his days . . . . . . ah . . . . . . . working. Can you imagine a Mr Cool Party Animal, as Supreme Court Justice? But, this is the state of affairs in which the present day Democrat Party finds itself.
You don't care for successful blacks? In Obama's case, WILDLY successful blacks? Jealously and envy is about all you have left, Sad.
ReplyDeleteObama, Sharpton and Holder are not successful blacks, they are blacks who took advantage of their privileges as aspiring leaders in the black community. With all the talk of "white privilege," I have not benefited one iota because of so-called "white privilege." And in spite of the Obama/Holder inspired emphasis on black revolution and domestic racism, we have Condoleezzas Rice, JJ Watts, Clarence Thomas, Cory Booker, Frederick Douglas, Martin Luther King, Jr., Don Thompson (CEO of McDonald's) and many, many others. Real achievers versus blowhards and phonies. All races have this conflict. Its just that the partisan thinks only righteous blacks or white Democrats are above this issue, just as they are above the law.
