An update on the CDC and its partisan claims that the Ebola matter is the the fault of the GOP.

Staged Vaccine Development

Editor's notes:  Clicking on the hyperlink,  above,  takes you to a site giving the reader the investment opportunities and requests of the NIH for vaccine development over the past year.  The article will appear somewhat technical but the take-away is this:  there is no request or funding opportunities for the development of a vaccine for Ebola.

Agency Director,  Anthony Fauci,  has made a point telling anyone who will listen,  that the lack of a vaccine is the fault of Sequestor cuts and the GOP.  The truth of the matter is this: Fauci and his NIH agency,  made no requests for funding or Ebola research during the past year.

More than this,  we also know that while the Sequestor cut Federal spending,  across the board,  the idea of "Sequestor" was H Obama's and was passed in both houses of Congress and signed into law by H Obama.  We, also,  know that GOP law-makers submitted and approved of more CDC funding than was requested by the Dems and their leader,  H Obama.

Sadly,  the Left seldom gives up on their lies.  And,  this nonsense about Sequestor cuts is one of the lies they intend to continue.

Again,  when it is all said and done,  the Sequestor was Obama's big idea,  CDC cuts were decreased by the GOP,  not increased,  and, finally,  the NIH showed little to no concern for Ebola research during the past 12 months.

Understand this:  when viewed in light of recent Congressional testimony over the past several days,  it is clear that the CDC (headed by Freedman) and the NIH (headed by Fauci) have been completely taken over by the Utopian mind-set and are puppets of the Obama Administration.

When a federal agency or military entity puts the health,  safety and lives of others ahead of the American citizenry and/or soldiers they represent,  it is because of an Utopian World View that aggressively works against the "unfairness" of American exceptionalism.

In the face of the refusal of the Obama Government to stop flights from Africa, into our country,  until the Feds can demonstrate they know what the hell they are doing,  we can only conclude that the Administration is more concerned for the African economy than the potential advancement of the Ebola virus in this country.

Let's not forget that Ebola was imported into our country by our Government and its feckless policies.  Understand that this disease is not new to the world's concern.  It has been around for years,  yet,  the Federal Government has been caught with its guard down,  a very common outcome of this Administration.

While there is a lot of fear-mongering,  I believe we may be able to keep this disease under control.  The next two weeks will give us a better idea as to the scope of the problem.  If we have to deal with more than the two cases currently in the mix,  we will be forced to admit that we have a very serious, existential problem.    Time will tell.

Regardless,  we know the CDC and NIH have been failed concerns as to the present distress.  Protocol and strategy are two very different matters.  While the CDC continues to work on Ebola "protocol,"   it really has no demonstrable strategy except to hope and pray that no one else coming out of Dallas (and the death of Mr Duncan) comes down with this infection.
