You do know that we are being lied to again . . . . this time about the international alliance working with the US and against ISIS?

Six weeks ago, a coalition to fight against ISIS was not being talked about.  In fact, two weeks ago,  Obama gave a speech to a NATO assembly in which there was implicit indication that he was beginning work on a coalition to fight ISIS,  but with no actual success at the time of his speech  (the text of that speech can be found here).   Understand that he makes it clear that NATO members "all agree" that something must be done,  but no promises had been made,  no actionable decisions had been made at that time.  Because "all agree,"  Obama is,  now,  counting all 28 nations in NATO as being on board in the coalition to fight ISIS.

No one knows how he comes up with the additional 12 nations needed to justify his phony claim that 40 nations are now a part of a "broad coalition" in the battle against the Islamic State.  Understand that EVERYTHING this man says or does has a political overtone.  He simply never stops talking or walking in the political realm.

Because GW Bush took 14 months to build a coalition and bring congress on board,  for the invasion into Iraq,  Obama believes he must build a larger coalition and do so in a much shorter time frame.  That is just the way he thinks.

Here are the facts:  Bush started the invasion into Iraq with a 48 member coalition,  37 of these countries putting "boots on the ground" totaling 27,000 soldiers.

Obama has only one nation willing to fight,  and that is limited to an air assault in Iraq only.  France agreed to commit to bombing runs in Iraq,  three days ago.

Now,  I am not being critical of this "coalition."  Obama just started the work needed to bring our allies in this battle,  on board.  But to pretend that he and the feckless John Kerry have built as 40 member coalition in just two weeks,  is a preposterous lie.  That is my complaint.  Everything is a word game with these clowns.  Their problem with these lies,  crafted to garner headlines before the coming election,  is this:  they are measured against a thing called   . . . . . . . . . . . .  reality.  In reality,  France is our only fighting ally,  at present,  and there is precious little hope for a broad based coalition.

Know this:  in the face of this "40 member coalition" there will be no listing of these member nations;  there will be no detailing of any commitment for troops sent into this battle.  To be sure,  there will be more nations involved than France,  but who they will be is not, yet, known    . . . . . . . . . .    despite the fantasy claim.

Worse yet,  there is absolutely no hint of regional assistance by border nations  (Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arbia, Iran,  Yemen,  Qatar and others).  Without their help,  there will be no "troops on the ground,"  insuring that this effort will fail.  Obama can blow his way into the headlines,  but if ISIS is not defeated,  we will know in short order,  and without argument.

Obama has been pretending "success" for his fight against terror,  but no one believes his claims.  He mentions Yemen and Somalia as two of his success stories  -  comments so ridiculous,  there really is no need to debate his claim.  It is THAT silly.

George Bush took his responsibility as protector of this nation,  quite seriously.  As a result,  there were no successful attacks in the US after the Twin Towers.  Not one person was killed or injured,  in the homeland,  for the seven years following 9/11.   Obama's record is quite different.  There have been 19 deaths and 267 injuries during the first six years of term in office.

More than this,  Bush won the Afghan War  (2001-2002) in a matter of months.  When he turned his attention to Iraq, there were no more than 80 Taliban left in that country.  He should have kept a substantial residual force after the war,  and has admitted such.  But the fact remains that he won the Afghan war.   And,  he won the five year war in Iraq,  killing 40,000 al-Qaeda jhadists and leaving that country "strong,  stable and sovereign"  -  an assessment made by Obama himself.

Understand that Obama is an Utopian Minister,  a believer in Islam (without being a member),  a man who believes the nature of man is,  essentially,  good, and that we are all brothers.  War is an impossible action in his frame of thought.  He is a pacifist, of sorts, and wages war with "fairness rules" in mind . . .   his own "fairness rules."  These rules put our soldiers in greater harm,  than under any other president in our history.  When he pulled out of Iraq,  he could not have cared less about the sacrifice of the 4,500 who died in giving that nation a shot at freedom.  He did not care about the Benghazi four,  going to bed five hours before the last two brave hearts were murdered.  He did not care about the 32 Navy Seals,  killed 12 weeks after he and Biden identified that team as being responsible for the death of bin Laden.  I could go on,  but you see the point.

And,  today,  he has 1,700 troops in Iraq and more than 2,000 embassy workers.  He says he is not going to put troops on the ground,  but,  if these people are killed  . . .  any of them  . . . . .  that will be the end of the Democrat Progressive Party.  Again,  his words will be measured against the backdrop of reality.  So we wait,  in prayer for those in harms way.

  1. Smithson doesn't want a coalition. He wants ISIS to grow and prosper because he thinks he can blame it on Obama.

Readers, haven't you had enough of this hate spewing machine?

    1. You really don't have anything substantive to say, or you wouldn't write to this blog, making up stuff. Of course, I want a coalition but if that is going to take a year or two or three, well, we do not have that kind of time. We - the US MILITARY - can get this job done in a matter of months.

I am not sure why I published your nothing-burger comment. In the future, I won't. No point in defending myself on my own blog, defending against ridiculous lies. The readership does not care what a uneducated Marxist has to say. Trust me on that.
