Progressives are going to try to force their will against the Redskins. It will fail, so why are they trying?

The Hill is reporting:   Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) on Tuesday pushed to revoke the NFL's tax-exempt status over the Washington Redskins' refusal to change its name.     "In the next few days, I will be dropping legislation to end that tax status," she said at a press conference.    The Washington Democrat made the announcement in the Capitol Tuesday alongside the "Change the Mascot" campaign, which is led by Native American leaders opposed to the team's name  [Majority Leader,  Harry Reid,  has called for this action on several occasions in the recent past.  The assertion is that "Redskins" defames the American Indian.  Never mind that 80% of our native population is not offended.  Never mind the the fact that a native American created the logo seen in this post].

Editor's notes:  Once again,  the Progressive Utopian class has decided against the will of the people,  and is attempting to force its will,  al la ObamaCare and labor union membership.

Just know this:  the bill has to pass both houses of congress.  Ain't going to happen in the House of Representatives  . . . .  the peoples House.  Maybe it's time to get rid of the Senate,  altogether.
