Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
"Play it again, Sam" and we will. Here is that 2007 Bush video predicting - IN DETAIL - exactly what has happened in Iraq. The video has gone "viral" with 38 million views !!!!!!!!!!
Yea, the guy who lied us into the unnecessary war.
What is it with these idiots who believe that we can 'keep the peace' in Iraq? WE can't do anything long term, maybe win a few battles, kill a bunch of terrorists... but when do these short sighted neocons finally get to understand that there is no 'winning' in the middle east. The solution has to come from within, as Obama stated.
Hey moron, its your president that is taking us back into Iraq. He already has 1,600 troops there - without a status of forces agreement, I might add, proving he did not need one in 2009. But, again, it is YOUR WAR, this time. Hopefully, it will end better than YOUR war in Afghanistan.
I did not publish your "Bush is to blame for 9/11" post because you have made that argument, on this blog, many times in the past. Your are boring, and, maybe, that explains why you are single. If you have something substantive to say about Bush and 9/11, I will publish it, as I have in the past. But to blame Bush for 9/11 when the entire event was planned and put into action during the last two/three years of Clinton, is dishonest and partisan to the max.
Still, I do not blame Clinton.
The reader should understand that "Anonymous" is, at times, a truther, believing the Towers were brought down by a directive from George Bush, so that he could invade Iraq and take all its oil.
How does it feel to be accused of everything your side believes and preaches? You do it to me all the time. You Lefties can dish it out, but can't take it . . . . . start whining, almost immediately.
You write: " Particularly... the documents showing that the CIA had bin Laden in its cross hairs a full year before 9/11 — but didn’t get the funding from the Bush administration White House to take him out or even continue monitoring him." A "full year before 9/11" puts you back in the Clinton Administration.
Attacks were "imminent" in 2011? What the hell are you talking about?
And Bush was not on vacation. He was working as President at his ranch. He carried a full schedule. Like I have said many times, LOOK IT UP. If Obama can be the President while on the damn golf course for 100 different days, and take 96 days of additional vacation and do 400 fund raisers on his time but our dime, I guess Bush can be a mobile president as well. You hypocrites are all the same. Fast to condemn while doing EXACTLY the same thing or worse.
If Obama can be a mobile president, so too Bush. Case closed. ALL of the 9/11 attacks were planned in the last three years of Clinton. There were no specific warnings given to Bush as to where, when, and how. Al Qaeda bomb the Towers in 1993. Clinton received far more warnings about a terrorist attack than did Bush and did nothing. and had the opportunity to kill bin Laden and decided against it. Lots of shortcomings to go around, so stop with your never ending hatred of Bush. He was two wars, got the approval of congress, came up with a 38u nation fighting alliance going into Iraq, and a 48 nation support system. Obama has lost two wars, the two Bush won, and is now facing a a third lose in the ISIS held Iraq.

ReplyDeleteSmithson doesn't have the intellectual honesty to allow convincingly accurate rebuttals of his posts.
Avoid this blog, no intelligence here, just a lot of hate and paranoid propaganda.
