Here is the difference between Marxist socialism (they always go together) and free market capitalism: the later uses man to exploit man; the former does just the opposite (no article - just this succinct thought).

  1. "very GOP administration since 1952 has let the Military-Industrial Complex loot the Treasury and plunge the nation into debt on the excuse of a wartime economic emergency. Richard Nixon comes quickly to mind, along with Ronald Reagan and his ridiculous "trickle-down" theory of US economic policy. If the rich get richer, the theory goes, before long their pots will overflow and somehow "trickle down" to the poor, who would rather eat scraps off the Bush family plates than eat nothing at all. Republicans have never approved of democracy, and they never will. It goes back to pre-industrial America, when only white male property owners could vote." - Hunter S. Thompson

  2. JFK - a Democrat - put us in Viet Nam and LBJ doubled down on that mistake. Before JFK was the Democrat, Truman and the Korean mistake. was WW II the fault of the Democrats and FDR? You all would have made that charge and rewritten history if the talbes had been turned and the GOP had been in power. I could make the argument that FDR saw it coming, was warned over and over again but stuck his head up his buitt - ala Obama - and did nothing until Pearl Harbor, when he could not pretend longer.

Bush 41 took us into Saudi Arabia and won that war. Bush 43 took us into Iraq and won that war. Obama and the Dems lost the peace in Iraq and the freaking war in Afghanistan. War and preparation for war, in a hostile world full of existential enemies is the price we pay for being free . . . . . . and I don't give a crap about your peace experiment - I mean, look at where it has gotten us, in just five years.

  3. Bush lost the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan when he started them. Unless we're prepared to permanently occupy and rule those countries, it was a losing proposition from the beginning. Everyone knows that.

Things haven't changed much where George W Bush comes from. Houston is a cruel, crazy town on a filthy river in East Texas with no zoning laws and a culture of sex, money and violence. It's a shabby, sprawling metropolis ruled by brazen women, crooked cops and super-rich pansexual cowboys who live by the code of the West - which can mean just about anything you need it to mean, in a pinch." - Hunter S. 1. Bush left Iraq free and stable, according to your Marxist pals in the White House ((Feb of 2010). The Afghan war now being fought, was and is Obama's war of choice and you know this, so why the lies?

And, I am not going to have a debate with Hunter Thompson, now deceased via blowing his brains out (I am surprised he hit anything vital when he aimed at his head). Hunter Thompson was the inventor of a subjective "style" of journalism called "Gonzo journalism," wholly discredited by virtually everyone in that trade, Left and Right. He "used drugs and alcohol enthusiastically" (to use Obama's wording), a glorified high school graduate, full of hate, a life lived without any redeeming value - and, worse yet, an intellectual moron. And, to think, he is one of your heroes.

If you are going to quote others against me or my way of thinking as a conservative, at least quote from folks who have a measurable I.Q.

      Thanks
