Joe Biden,  has been sent to Ukraine to assure them of our support.  Apparently there is some doubt as to whether we will continue to send them stale military rations and socks.

You know our foreign policy is in shambles when "they" send in the clowns.

  1. There is an assumption that Obama is “not tough enough” despite all of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary – It was this president who escalated the use of force against al Qaeda; it was this president that launched the mission that killed bin Laden; it was this president who increased the use of predator drones to strike at terrorist suspects (including killing Americans affiliated with al Qaeda living abroad); it was this president who helped assemble an international coalition to strike at the Gadhafi regime in Libya; and on and on. It's well past time for the political world to stop equating “manhood” with “cruise missiles.” Being an “alpha male” may somehow seem impressive in a junior-high-school-yard sort of way, but when analyzing geopolitical crises, we need a different kind of framework.

There’s apparently a knee-jerk assumption among people like Smithson that “real men” use bombs, not diplomacy. What is wrong with these people?

  2. You really don't keep up with the news, do you? Obama decided that killing by drone was more humane than waterboarding 3 individuals and, to date, he has killed, around 70 al Qaeda. Bush killed 40,000. Ukraine asked from weapons and Obama sent them dried food and socks and closed down some of the banking concerns for 7 individual Russians. He has sit around with his thumb up his butt, for five stinking years, watching Iran become a nuclear threat. He took out Gadafi and replaced him with . . . . . . with . . . . . . . . NO ONE. Now that is sheer genius, right? In Egypt, he took out Mubarak and tried to replace him with the Muslim Brotherhood. They are still laughing at him for that.

And nutcases like yourself, believe that peace at any price, is the best way to deal with bully's. How is that working out . . . . . in Syria, in North Korea, all over North Africa, in Iran, in Libya, or here at home, where 300 Americans have died or have been injured in 6 terror attacks since Obama came along (that number was zero for Cowboy Bush). You make fun of me as a "real man who wants to use bombs," as if your president is not using killer drones and bombs to do the very thing I advise. Kind of makes you look a little silly, no?

  4. Readers take note: SMithson said, there were no terrorist attacks on America during Bush - "NONE" he wrote. What does that tell you about his level of denial?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. 40,000 terrorist dead, in 5 years. That's the number. Why would you think our army killed less? And what is YOUR number for "enemy killed." And Bush's homeland record of zero deaths or injuries, is a fact confirmed by major network news, the WaPost, Foreign Affairs, the Economist and on and on and on. Name me one death or injury during the Bush years. Good grief, woman, you need to keep up with the news.

In fact, when Bush left Afghanistan to invade Saddam's Iraq, there were less than 100 Taliban in that country. THAT's why he left. He had kicked their butts, totally. His problem, of course, was not leaving a military force of any size, behind. Obama, on the other hand, has refused to define "victory," tried to NEGOTIATE a peace in Afghanistan as he showed "respect and understanding" for the Taliban enemy, added or changed the "rules of engagement" to such a radical extent, that those very rules are, now, responsible for hundreds of American deaths in that country.

He knows nothing about waging war, has never served nor has any respect for the soldiers he commands and has been a laughable failure in Afghanistan. Our soldiers are nothing but expendable pawns in his service. And nearly 65% of the military hates or dislikes the man. You would too, if you had the balls to fight under his command.

Obama's rules of engagement include "catch and release" after 72 hours, no "surprise or ambush" attacks against the enemy; no air combat cover if fighting near a village or a small group of homes, even if our soldiers are caught and surrounded in an ambush; no pursuit into a "residential" area, if fired upon; no capture allowed if the enemy runs into a home and exits without their weapons; no major ground game or "sweep" of enemy forces allowed.

He is the first president to pay a ransom for hostages - 5 million bucks for 17 hostages in Egypt after Obama destabilized that country in his betrayal of Mubark and his support of the terrorist group, The Muslim Brotherhood. His military "leadership" is what one would expect from a moralless buffoon - disrepected world wide, by every imaginable enemy, a faux academic who thinks that unilateral disarmament advances peace and stability in the world - a "belief" he, himself, does not practice per his drone strikes into Pakistan.
