Of the 50 states in our union, only 14 agreed to partner with the Federal Government. How are they doing?

Only New York,  Connecticut, and Kentucky are working as well as can be expected,  and even this group is not problem free.

New York,  for example,  just released numbers showing that of the 500,000 folks registered for ObamaCare,  including Medicaid applicants,  less than 30 % have actually paid and are currently insured under this new program.

The other two states do not have an accounting for those actually insured versus the larger totals of those "registered."  In fact,  after New York,  none of the remaining states in the Federal exchanges have an accounting of those who are actually insured . . . . . .  none.

The State of Washington, one of the 14, ranking 5th in effectiveness as a Federal Exchange,   is coming out of its problematic first enrollment period,  but,  as of yet,  holds a back log of more than 50,000 application that have not been processed.  This would be the vast majority of those who have signed up,  in that state.

Massachusetts,  Minnesota, and Hawaii, and Maryland are near the bottom of our list of 14, none of which have signed up more than 8% of its population to ObamaCare,  and are plagued with serious functional problems as to the implementation  of ObamaCare.

At the bottom of our list,  is the state of Oregon.  That state has raised and/or received federal funds totally 304 million dollars,  to date,  to run its program.  Unbelievably,  not one person has reached the final stage of enrollment.  304 million spent to accomplish an enrollment number of zero.

When we consider all 50 states,  only 14 have registered more than 9% of its populations,  and such programs are filled with serious problems,  whether state run or in partnership with the Feds.

In other words,  the program,  5 years in the making and 5 months into its first enrollment period is a laughable failure.

  1. 48th consecutive month in which we’ve seen private-sector job growth. Good job... good recovery from 8 yrs of Bush mismanagement

  2. Its the PRIVATE SECTOR, Moron. A tribute to capitalism and America's ability to work around the thousands and thousands of pages of restrictions and UNNECESSARY regulations. Maybe you missed it, but 60% of this nation's population believes the man has failed as to creation of jobs. The consecutive GDP number is getting close to Bush's record of 52 consecutive months of improving GDP. Big difference, however between the two men. In the Bush economy, unemployment averaged 4.6%. Under Obama, the average is closer to 7.8% with 11 million fewer Americans in the national workforce . . . . . 11 million, dude. And unemployment went up last month, not down . . . . . . . . and the unemployment rate for those between 18 and 35 is 15%.

More importantly, you cannot name a single Obama program or policy that has given us job creation. You will not bother with an answer, of course, You and your buds never do. But the question is there. Obama's answer to my question? " ' I guess shovel ready wasn't as shovel ready as we thought' yuk, yuk, yuk. "

  3. Bush destroyed the economy, everyone knew it would take a decade to recover.

  4. Sooooo, Bush, all by his lonesome, "destroyed" the economy?? What a partisan Moron, you are.

The Democrats took over both houses of congress, the first of 2007 . . . both houses. They controlled the banking and finance oversight committees in both the Senate and the House . . . BOTH houses. The two Democrat chairs, Dodd in the Senate and Barnie Frank in the House, BOTH told us, there was no need for concern, as they rejected Bush's efforts to real in the out-of-control Affordable housing program -- he tried and your side of the aisle rejected his efforts. In fact, Frank reassured the nation, just 6 weeks before the bottom fell out. So take you "its all Bush's fault" and stick it, absolutely not true.

And look what they did with the economy after they got the reins. The 2009 "stimulus," a billion dollars including interest; none of which went to a substantive, systemic, solution to our problems. In fact, 3/4 of all that money went to either interest on that debt and Democrat constituencies, whether unions or Democrat controlled congressional districts. That "stimulus" was sold to the American people as a jobs bill, so vital to the US economy that we did not have time for congressional debate or even a reading of the bill. This "stimulus" was nothing more than payback for Obama's supporters, period. After this "emergency" bill was passed, 29 days after Obama took office, we had nothing to show for it, except an unemployment rate that increased from 7.8% to 10% in October of 2009, and no spending increases to repair the infrastructure.

You are a partisan simpleton and part of the problem.

Look, your side of the aisle OWNED congress for two years. They could have made whatever fixes they wanted to the economy. They could have passed comprehensive immigration, cap and trade, full disarmament, changes to international relations, and a comprehensive global warming agenda . . . . . . . ANYTHING, and the Republicans could not have stopped a single piece of legislation. Instead, they got nothing done and had to pass ObamaCare without necessary changes, after Scott Brown won his election as Senator, and ended the Super Majority Rule of Senate Democrats, beginning with January of 2010.

Two years wasted; one of the most profound political failures in American history. . . . . chance to change the world for the Progressive Socialist Movement and the Obama-crats in congress, were so enept, they could not get it done in spite of the fact that they had no opposition. Watching this was like watching two teams playing football, one team sits on the sidelines and the other played every minute, only to lose the game, in the end. THAT is your Progressive History, and the monument to Progressive genius. You all are laughable.
