Rakka, Syria: A young girl was stoned to death by militant groups in Syria for operating Facebook account. Leadership within the Islamic community is silent as to this incident and the hundreds of others like it, that take place each and every year. No one in the U.S. is speaking out AND working against this sanctioned and criminal religious behavior. Ditto for the world's population of Muslims. No surprise, here. You are looking at the face of Islam, today. Cowards all.

That is the word of God. Such a violent and vicious religion.

Two things: One, the Old Testament "religion" was before Christianity. Yes it was violent, but, we also do not know all of the facts involved in any of your examples. No matter, Christianity has no place for such behavior. Christ moved us from a religion of legalism to one of spirit and hope for all mankind. Your examples are so Old Testament and so ill informed, for that very reason. The Jewish religion of the Old Testament is not the World Religion of the New Covenant. But why am I arguing with an existentialist, an atheist who's god is himself and a man (transgendered ?) who knows nothing about the book he quotes ??

Two, what do your examples have to do with face of present day Islam. The Jews no longer stone people for alleged immoral conduct. Christians centered in the very teachings of Christ, practice forgiveness from the time of the cross to the present time. Islam is the only "religion" in our world that preaches hate and pathological violence. You disagree?
