Understand that this blog is about what I deem as
interesting news relating to controversial issues (evolution,
abortion, religion versus secularism, global warming,
Christianity verses the make believe, Socialism in its many forms
and more) in addition to my primary focus, national politics.
Since March of 2010, the "news cycle"
has really moved quite slowly. Obama was able to jam ObamaCare and
Dodd/Frank through a congress wholly run by Socialist/Progressives to the exclusion of GOP leadership or
involvement. The election of Scott Brown to Ted Kennedy's Senate
seat in late 2009, put an end to his ability to completely ignore the opposition, and,
since he does not believe in negotiating with the opposition,
nothing of any major consequence (other than Dodd/Frank and the healthcare bill) has passed through congress, a reality this presidential clown has had to live with for nearly
three years. The good news in all this, is the fact that the prospects for this "no news cycle" continuing, will dominate the next three
years (2014, 2015, and most of 2016), despite his silly efforts at resurrecting an agenda. He wants immigration reform, and may get that passed through congress in some form, but that will be the end of his so-called "legacy legislation."
He has made a mess of things, but I am not one who believes that he has been successful in his "fundamental transformation" of this country.
Obama's name calling and general buffoonery, has
brought congress to a stand still and, it is beginning to look like his true legacy will be more about his radical incompetence as painfully demonstrated by the failures of ObamaCare, than anything he might think to do as a counter.
At any rate, while good news for
the conservative nation, his ineptitude as our national leader, makes life difficult for this editor.
I do not "do" sports, as a rule; I no
longer care what Fat Chris Christie does as he wastes time trying to run and win
a presidential election (the teaparty types will not support him and he
cannot win a national election with them); Australian news is, well,
Australian; the woman with a Welch accent is no more interesting to
me than Americans petitioning for a police state.
The Navy Seals story is one that I will use in the very near
future, as well as the "downed drone" story (our most advanced spy
drone, downed in Iran in 2010 with Obama's refusal to either destroy it or
retrieve it when he could have done either);
Anyway, I am sure you "get the drift." If
you are a political news junky, now is not a good time for you. Guess you will just have to spend time polishing the cars, loving on your spouse, beating the kids, or whatever.
Meanwhile, I will do what I can to rescue you from a life of domestic involvement.
