Here is the conclusion to the NBC news story:
“This says that when they made the promise, they knew half the people in this market outright couldn’t keep what they had and then they wrote the rules so that others couldn’t make it either,” said Robert Laszewski, of Health Policy and Strategy Associates, a consultant who works for health industry firms. Laszewski estimates that 80 percent of those in the individual market [14 to 16 million Americans ~ blog editor] will not be able to keep their current policies and will have to buy insurance that meets requirements of the new law, which generally requires a richer package of benefits than most policies today. . . . . .
You will definitely want to read the full article found at NBC.com. Turns out that the Ted Cruz Republicans were right, all along; that the shutdown as centered in the demand to repeal or delay ObamaCare was the righteous thing to do; that RINO's such as John McCain have done nothing to solve the problem inherent in the excessive spending of this new law and its 18 new taxes. And now, years after the bill was signed into law (March 23, 2010), NBC pretends to care about the truth.
I guess I should say, "Better late than never," but in this case, great damage has already been done.
