Fox News positions itself to increase its dominance in the cable news industry. Here is the new schedule:

Fox’s killer line-up beginning on October 7th, Fox’s 17 anniversary. As you may know,  Fox generally has more viewers during any given hour than CNN, HLN, CNBC and MSNBC  networks combined.  This line-up promises to keep Fox News at the top of the cable news industry.

Note:  All times are Pacific times

10 a.m. Live with Gretchen Carlson (replaces Megyn Kelly at this hour).  Carlson will move from the early morning show,  Fox and Friends,  and will be replaced by Elizabeth Hasselbeck,  who, in turn,  has left The View for a more rewarding career with Fox.
12 p.m. News with Shep Smith  (Smith loses his 4 p.m. but keeps his noon program and moves up in Fox News management).
