The problem with "red lines" are all those "green lights."

Obama's Vow on Chemical Weapons Puts Him in Tough Spott  —  WASHINGTON — Confronted with evidence that chemical weapons have been used in Syria, President Obama now finds himself in a geopolitical box, his credibility at stake with frustratingly few good options.

Editor’s notes:  here is the problem with drawing a “red line” around “war by chemicals.”  It gives a green light to other types of killings.

To think that Obama,  in effect,  gives permission to the Syrian  dictatorship,  to kill as many citizens as they want,  as long as it is not “chemical warfare,”  is one of the more ridiculous decisions this novice has made.  Of course,  that was not his intent,  but that is most definitely the effect of his words.

Don’t forget,  he went into Egypt after only 300 had been killed,  and bragged about how quickly he implemented that military action [compared to Bush taking 14 months to strike in Iraq].  Now,  two years later,  in Syria,  we have a situation far worse that anything happening in Egypt,  and Obama has become a coward  . . . . . . .  at least in the eyes of all those who wish us dead.
