As you can see, most jobs created in April, by
far, were temporary. Add to this, the fact that 9.5 million
folks are no longer counted into workforce stats (they have left the
workforce) as well as the fact that unemployment is 11.3 percent using 2009
numbers, and you can see why the economy remains at recessionary
lows. Unemployment "fell" to 7.5% and continues to show "improvment" only because 2009 numbers are not being used in this accounting.
Never forget: if you don't demand better of your governors, you will never get "better."

The economy is improving and the damage from the previous president is being repaired. Smithson is an ankle-biter and can't stand the success.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, "Affordable Housing" was a Democrat idea, the Utopian fantasy that everyone has the right to own their own home, that came out of the Clinton years and was endorsed by George Bush. It was "Affordable Housing" policy that took down this nation's economy in 2008. Sadly, the Deomcrats have not learned their lesson and are continuing to work to resurrect this bit of nonsense.
ReplyDeleteAdd to this fact that the Bush years recorded the second best economy in American history, with a workforce of 167 million compared to 158 million with Obama, and an expanding GDP that saw 52 consecutive months of growth, something that has never happened before Bush, including the Clinton years.
Obama is nothing but a smooth talking Chicago crook who has allowed lobbyists a free reign in D.C., a man who has literally broken more promises than the last 10 presidents combined.
His legacy? ObamaCare, which is going up in smoke, and the feckless Dodd/Frank financial legislation that is, now, an admitted failure by Democrats and Republicans alike.
He lost the war in Afghanistan and pissed away a victory in Iran. He has done more to destabilize the Middle East than any other single person in this world, believes there is political value in talking about closing GITMO, and hasn't had a new idea since becoming president.
And he has tripled the Bush year's national budgeting baseline from 440 billion per year (that is what Bush spent) to 1.3 trillion every freaking year. Besides your know-nothing rhetoric, you cannot justify that amount of money nor blame it on Bush. Go ahead and try.
All you Lefties can do is talk, whine and bash Bush . . . . oh, and spend money, believing that because we can print money, we actually have money.
