Wikipedia, in a
disgustingly inaccurate article on “Organizing for America,” states that this community organization began
in 2009. The truth of the matter is
this: the “OFA” was originally called “Obama
for America,” and served as Obama’s
personal campaign machine during and after the first election. In January of 2013, Obama announced the end of “Obama for America”
and the beginning of “Organizing for America,” a 501-c-3 dedicated to the advancement of “progressive”
causes.
Understand that in all of 2012, he neither personally campaigned for any
Democrat candidate, nor did he raise
money for any of the several Democrat congressional elections. In fact,
he sent out a memo, warning
Democrats of his decision to NOT offer money raised by his OFA. In effect,
the party was on its own and, incredibly, not one word uttered in public, as a compliant.
You should know that since Obama became “president,” his party has lost control of the House (losing 56 seats in 2010), two seats in the Senate, and control only 18 governorships, throughout the country.
The loss of the 9 governorships in 2010 is, perhaps, most damning. The end game of the 2010 midterms and the control of 30 State governorships and legislatures (in most cases) gave Republicans control of the redistricting process, in most states. Such gave the GOP a structuring advantage as to election outcomes until 2020.

Dodd/Frank, a supposed “hallmark” financial bill for the
Democrats, has proven to be a
disaster, failing to accomplish its
purpose in correcting “too big to fail.”
And we all know what kind of mess we have with ObamaCare. While Obama touts the several benefits of
the bill, the fact of the matter is
this: ObamaCare is more a financial bill than a health bill. The program cannot survive unless and until
major parts of the bill are rewritten or stricken from the record. It is an absolute mess. Democrats such as Harry Reid and Max Baucus have agreed: "The healthcare bill is a train wreck unless we can funnel more money into its implementation."
Further, Obama’s personal popularity does not translate to other
candidates -- too many white and responsible folk on that list. Obama's has chosen to build political support with the highly dissatisfied and angry minority base. Problem: folks cannot stay angry forever.
Obama has done nothing for the Democrat Party in the long term. Hes has not built an evolving institutional apparatus that promises victorious process. Angry rhetoric and the blame game has gotten old, and no long excites the larger population. Understand that Obama's election victory fell 11 million short of projected turnout. And his 2013 State of the Union Address, was viewed by 6 million per national network, compared to 30 million per network, in 2010.
Ex-governor Sanford, won election to a House position this past week, against a Democrat, by pitching his tent on the unpopularity of Nancy Pelosi and her ties to B Obama. He won his election by 10 points -- a landslide.
Finally, Obama's constant fund raising, personally raising millions each and every month of his five year term, is bleeding the party coffers dry, and is doing nothing to prepare for the future.
And now, he has brought the party to brink of disaster with the IRS, Benghazi and Fast and Furious scandals. The national press is turning on this man, in the name of righteous reporting (finally) and the media skies overhead, are threatening and dark. If Hillary gets swept into this mess, the future of the Democrat Party, may be very much the opposite of what we saw after the 2008 elections.
