Hollywood passes over actual lesbian couples in its casting for "Glee."

Here is the headline:  Meredith Baxter and Patty Duke to Play Lesbian Couple on 'Glee'

So what does it mean that the movie industry could not real lesbians to play this role?  Just asking.
