Even Republicans are willing to rethink gun laws in an effort at meaningful reform.

A Republican Governor,   Michigan’s Rick Synder,  yesterday (Tuesday the 18th) vetoed a concealed weapon's bill.  Understand that no one guilty of recent mass killings was qualified to carry a concealed weapon.    The bill would have allowed pistol owners to “carry”  into schools, day care centers, and churches.  The problem with the bill,  and the reason Synder issued his veto, was the fact that the bill did not allow these institutions to prohibit concealed weapons in their particular situations.

“Good call” in my opinion.  While carry permits are far, far removed from being a problem or the problem,  neither is the autonomy of a school or a church the  issue.  Heck,  I own and wear an NRA hat.  I do not wear it to church,  however  . . . . . . .  it just seems inappropriate.
