Yesterday, the 20th
, Senate majority leader Harry Reid, a
Democrat, made his "fiscal cliff" position clear in a press
conference. "We are not going to do anything," said Reid. Aside from the double negative, Reid demonstrated his ignorance in the fact
that his plan as to the “fiscal cliff” is to continue his four year agenda
for the Senate, one that has the 113th
Senate the single most do-nothing legislative body in American history. “Doing nothing” is Reid’s M.O.
Understand that he is not simply talking about his refusal
to consider anything coming from the House,
but is a statement as to his own malfeasance, as to this case. His stated plan? To do nothing.
More than refusing to put any of the 15 House bills into “committee,”
he is refusing to publish his own
solutions to the financial crisis we are facing. When this moron says, “I ain’t going to do nothing,” he means to include any suggestions coming
from the Democrat side of the aisle.
I say, let the Senate
and B Obama author and vote on their version of the solution, and send it to the House. While “Plan B” failed, there are 15 “plan B’s” sitting on Reid’s
desk.
The GOP has been dealing with this issue since last March. During that period of time, the Democrats have not authored a single written proposal, voted on in the Senate . . . . . . nothing. Why the Dems are getting a pass on this failure is proof of a media that is overly biased and, even, complicit in the continuing crisis.
