Romney: why did he not approve of the Lilly Ledbetter bill?

Understand that the Lilly Ledbetter bill is not about equal wages,  it is about giving lawyers another avenue in which to sue for their female plaintiffs. to be specific,  the bill extended the statute of limitations for filing a complaint to beyond 180 days.   The fact of the matter is this:  before “Lilly Ledbetter,”  discrimination as to wages in the work place was already illegal.  Since its passage,  four years ago,  nothing has changed as to any imagined inequities. Romney has already gone on record to state that he has no intentions of reversing this silly law.  You should know that,  in fact,  Obama,  himself,  continues to pay female members of his staff less than several of their counter parts.
