Update: "God" and "Jerusalem" put back into the Democrat Platform. Here's what happened.

<<<<  Update: "Obama had seen the language prior to the convention, a campaign source said, but did not seek to change it" . . . Politico.

This afternoon,  I watched as the issues of “God” (specifically, "God-given potential")   and the “Jerusalem as the capital of Israel” (specifically, "Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel") were brought to the floor for a vote to change the platform wording and write in these two 2008  concerns.   It was a voice vote.  This is my opinion,  but I thought the first two votes (voice votes of “yea” and “no”)  were equally divided,  and the third vote leaned at bit to the “no” vote.  But,  with the third vote,  L.A. Mayor,  Antonio Villaraigosa,  declared that vote a “2/3” majority and ordered the two inclusions. A huge chorus of "booos" followed the Mayor's announcement

Clearly,  the voice vote was not representative of a 2/3 vote.  Secondly,  it was obvious that Democrat leadership wanted the inclusions.  Third,  and most importantly,  Obama and his Marxist hordes were defeated in the initial move and, now,  pretend to have engineered the reversal,  taking credit for the correction while pretending they had nothing to do with the two exclusions written into the original 2012 platform.

Predictions:  the media, including Fox,  will not be interested in pushing the notion that Obama orchestrated the change and, now, pretends to be outraged with the initial exclusions.  Keep in mind that the floor vote demonstrates just how divided the Dems are.  This party is not the party to which I once belonged . . . . . . . not even close.

Obama has been successful in the radicalization of this party and the approving vote of today’s convention changes nothing.  He is in full control of this party and the fact of his micro-management style of leadership forces the thinking analyst to conclude that all this was driven by Obama,  as he continually pushes the party to edge,  and retreats when that “push” backfires.
