New economic numbers contradict Obama's claim, "We tried my plan and it worked."

Referring to our headline,  above, you should know that "We tried our plan and it worked"  is as ridiculous a falsehood as are the claims,  "It was the film's fault,"  "I have destroyed al Qaeda,"  and "I am the best friend to Israel,  in history."   Let's just hope he injects  this nonsense into the coming debates.

Here is the truth as to the current economic picture.  Understand this,  Obama's biggest problem is not Romney,  rather,  it is the truth,  straight up.

First time apps for unemployment claims came in at 359,000 for the week ending last Saturday,  September 22.  That number will be revised up to a nominal 362,000 by this time, next week.

Worse yet,  is our GDP.  Second quarter national production fell from a 1Q of 2.0% to 1.3% for the 2Q of the year.  A reasonably healthy economy,  perhaps I should say “stable” economy,  produces good and services that bring our gross domestic production to a 2.5% level.  By contrast,  China’s GDP is reportedly 7% and higher.

Durable goods were down 13.2%  (includes auto sales);  consumer spending was down for the quarter as was growth in exports.  Understand that this Administration has signed only 3 foreign trade agreements,  in four years;  all three being agreements coming out of  Bush diplomatic efforts.

Conclusion:  our economy is painfully close to recessionary rates.  In fact,  these are the same numbers the Democrats and B Obama used to define our economy as “in recession” under Bush,  back in January of 2008.  Understand that the “official” definition of “recession” is two consecutive quarters of .0% GDP or less,”  and that did not happen until the last two quarters of 2008.  Again,  using the same measurements,  the media should be touting the fact that we are in recession, again.

Obama’s words,  “We tried it their way and it didn’t work.  We tried it our way and it did work.”  Lets’ just hope he makes this claim during the debates.
