Faux Quote of Obama: "We will never retreat form the world - but we are leaving the Middle East behind and who can blame me??"

<<<<<< On their way to the Pacific.   Apparently,  the rest of the world is doing just fine.

Obama has left or is in the process of leaving the Middle East,  and has decided to "pivot" attention to the Pacific theater as a demonstrable policy.

Today,  Obama stated emphatically that:

"We will never retreat from the world . . . that is the essence of American leadership in the world" (words spoken as Obama received the bodies of our four diplomats.

But,  as always,  we find that he is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

The fact of the matter is quite different from his words at today's  reception.  Obama has cut and run  from Iraq and is in the process of doing so in Afghanistan,  bring shame to the Obama policy that has cost  lives lost for an idiot's agenda in that country,  an agenda that did not that include victory as its goal.

The uber Left PeaceforLife.org tells us of a "pivot" away from the Middle East and all the unrest we see there,  to the much more peaceful Pacific theater and Asia.  Rather than arming up to deal with conflicts in both fronts,  this Administration has decided it most wise to cut our military to its bare bones and move the force to a region where they are not as needed, in a critical sense, as in the Mediterranean region.  What is most worrisome,  in this decision,  the realization that this Administration will be no more involved in the Asian world and he has been in the Middle Eastern region.

Circumstances such as what we see this day,   may prevent Obama from finalizing his cut and run plans until after the elections,  but if you doubt that this is his intent,  you might go to the very respected ForeignPolicy.com and read their article and summary analysis of this decision.

In a headline out of ForeignPolicy.com, we have this:

The future of politics will be decided in Asia, not Afghanistan or Iraq, and the United States will be right at the center of the action.

To imagine that such is an exclusive statement is what makes this a ridiculous summation,  a ridiculous idea.

The Pentagon document on Strategic Guidance entitled, “Sustaining Global Leadership: Priorities for Twenty First Century” released in January 2012 has inaugurated a new cold war. If the theatre of the ‘old’ Cold War was Europe, the new theatre is the Asia-Pacific. The document affirms that the US will of necessity rebalance towards Asia-Pacific region. ‘Rebalance’ seems to have replaced the earlier term ‘pivot’. The document maps the region as “the arc extending from the Western Pacific and East Asia into the Indian Ocean region and South Asia”. . . . . . (Click on the headline, above,  and read the remaining 10 page download.  The point,  however,  is simply that the report of  the "pivot" is real and recognized by all and time is proving it to be ill advised).
