Obama's 2008 word's give the Romney/Ryan ticket the precise argument they need as they expose Obama's cuts to Medicare, in 2012.

<<<< Obama's 2008 word's give the Romney/Ryan ticket the precise argument they need as they expose Obama's cuts to Medicare,  in 2012.  Thanks O.B #1.

A  new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report updated the amount of money Obamacare robs out of Medicare from $500 billion to a whopping $716 billion between 2013 and 2022.   According to the CBO, the payment cuts in Medicare include:
  • A $260 billion payment cut for hospital services affecting the aged and disabled, exclusively.
  • A $39 billion payment cut for skilled nursing services effecting  private care facilities, nurses in mental health facilities,  and in-home care for the elderly and needy.
  • A $17 billion payment cut for hospice services  --  the poor who are near death are the ones affected by this cut (part of Palin's 'death panels').
  • A $66 billion payment cut for home health services. Again,  it is the poor and needy most affected by this deduct.
  • A $33 billion payment cut for all other services.
  • A $156 billion cut in payment rates in Medicare Advantage (MA); $156 billion is before considering interactions with other provisions. The House Ways and Means Committee was able to include interactions with other provisions, estimating the cuts to MA to be even higher, coming in at $308 billion.

In 2008,  McCain proposed to reduce Medicare's rate of growth and limit waste,  all without cutting benefits,  saving 800 billion dollars.  Here is how Obama characterized the McCain "cuts."

Yesterday (August 14),  CNN's spunky partisan,  Soledad O'Brien,  challenged Governor John Sununu, regarding Obama's Medicare cuts,  using McCain's defense and arguing that Obama was only eliminating waste and fraud.

When Sununu reminded the CNN partisan that he was quoting the official records of the Congressional Budget Office and its review of Obama's cuts to Medicare,  O"Brien fired back with words along this line,  "But we have our independent analysis and what you say, is not true."

And the O'Brien/Sununu debate went on like this:

"I have the CBO numbers,"

versus

"But I have my own independent review."

I think it funny that Obama is being defeated by his own strategies,  his own words. And . . . . . . . .   some of us were worried about Obama "taking it to the GOP" over the Medicare "cuts" issue  --  turns out he has already made these cut law and increased them from an original $500 billion price tag to a  CBO confirmed,  $716 billion.

  1. Absolutely. Beginning with the Ryan nomination, this blog is going to be a leader - as small-time as I am - as to hard hitting, anti-Obama truth. The day has long past when this was a GOP versus Democrat party affair. I am very hard on Dems, but there are plenty of patriotic Democrats. Obama and his bunch are not Democrats. They are collective/socialists who despise this nation's founding documents and history. The congress he ignores? That is a congress made up of Republicans and Democrats.

I am of Irish/Scottish heritage. There was a day when the Irish, in this country, were persecuted simply for being Irish. My point. Blacks have never been the only folks treated unfairly. Most Blacks have gotten over their terrible mistreatment and have moved on. Those who have not? Well, they are in charge of this nation and look what has happened ?

Anyway, I am a partner with you in the charge first spoken by Todd Beamer, "Let's Roll!" What a terrible incident (Flight 93) and what a great, great battle cry.

    Thanks.
