Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
How bad are things in California? The Poway School District just took out a $100 million, 40 year loan, in which they will pay nothing for 20 year and then . . . . ????
<<<< After dinner, this clown and his Socialist Democrat Party, have no idea what they will do for breakfast.
Poway School District is sitting on $35 million, cash in the bank, but has decided to take out a loan for $105 million. A Wall Street firm is the the principle lender in this loan. The loan will be interest and payment free for the first 20 years, and then $50 million payments per year will begin for the remaining 20 years. That "100 million" will cost the next generation property owners in San Diego 986 million dollars and they will not see this coming until a year or two before their taxes sky-rocket out of sight. Good grief.
For certain, when the "next generation" of taxpayers gets this bill, 20 years from now, they will blame Wall Street, but those of us who will be at rest, in peace (code for "dead"), will know the truth.
I have often said that Liberals do not look passed the end of their rather long noses (Pinocchio and all that) . In this case, this is not so much, the case. Rather, in this particular instance, Liberals are simply being disingenuous. They - the politicians and educators in this idiot state - do not care about the taxpayer burden two decades down the road.
Think about this fact: since 2007, a full third of upper-level middle class wage earners have already left this state. What do you think will be the case, come 2042? We are talking "third world," folks. No one within the Democrat Party realizes how bad it will be, because they never, ever, think that far ahead.
I am embarrassed to admit that I used to be a Democrat. With the passing time, my past history is becoming an emotional burden I can scarcely bear.
Ahhhhhhhh, maybe a bit too much hyperbole, but you get the message.
