Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.

The announcement that the Wisconsin congressman will join the Republican ticket as vice president garnered one of the least positive reactions in history, a new USA Today/Gallup poll reports. While 39% of Americans rate the selection as “excellent” or “pretty good,” 42 percent call Ryan an “only fair” or “poor choice.” Only the selection of Dan Quayle in 1988 rated worse.
ReplyDeletehahaha!!!!!
When Quayle got the nod, did Bush see 5 million dollars from 70,000 donors? Did he see another 4 mill collected in the 7 hours following the announcement? Did Quayle's positives rise 20 points, overnight?
ReplyDeleteYou know what you got? You got nothing.
Ryan is supposed to be a proposer of 'gutsy solutions' for the economy. What is so gutsy about handing the ultra wealthy a big tax break, gutting medicare for the elderly, cutting education programs for poor kids.
ReplyDeleteReal gutsy.
Obama is winning in OH and VA. Thats all you need to know.
You're losing.
Obama "gutted" Medicare to the tune of 716 billion dollars and ALL of Medicare services the elderly, poor and indigent -- all of it. Obama gutted Medicare to pay for the ObamaCare Tax Act.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find Ryan gutting education? No answer? I didn't think so.
Tax breaks for the rich? Where did you get that idea? Did you know or do you care that the "rich" pay 50% of their income, financing 67% of the total tax burden. You have to be brain dead to believe that they are not paying their fair share.
How much do you pay, bicycle boy?
