With the recall election scheduled for June 5, Scott Walker and friends seem too be in good position for a victory.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has stretched his recall election lead over Democrat Tom Barrett to six percentage points, according to a new poll by Marquette University's Law School. Walker leads 50 percent to 44 percent among likely voters, an increase of five points from Marquette's last poll nearly a month ago.

In another poll of the day,  Walker’s lead was 9 points.

One unforeseen circumstance for the Democrats is the fact that the June 5 election well after the closing of the areas colleges for summer vacation.  Many of those being surveyed will have gone home.  More than this,  the National Democrat Committee has decided to avoid support for the recall,  a sure sign that internal polling shows a losing affair and the DNC does not want this election to “nationalized.”

Funny,  with  conservative hucksters such as yours truly,  hanging out in the bushes,  the result,  if a success for Walker,  will definitely become a bellwether proposition for the conservative nation.

Next time someone suggests that the two national parties are the same,  think “Wisconsin.”  Thuggery, fleeing the state, threatening family members,  death threats by the score,  and teacher/union alliances that defy Constitutional governance and representative elections are all strategies used by the Democrat Party.

Nothing of this sort is standard fare for Republicans,  and certainly not for the TEA party wing of the GOP.
