Some think Holder is about to be fired. But how can that be? Time has closed in on the election. Any "firing" on the part of Obama will only look like election year politics.

<<<< Obama's arrogant refusal to cooperate with Congress,  his declaration that he will not obey subpoenas coming from the House "because of the partisan nature of the subpoena process," and his belief that the passing of time will solve most of his PR problems,  is about to come back and haunt the man . . . . . just in time for the elections.

The Daily Caller is carrying a story about the potential firing of Eric Holder.  There  is no strong evidence for this possibility,  only a suggestion from one of Holder's most persistent critics,  South Carolina's Trey Gowdy.  Understand that the House committee in charge of the investigation of  Fast and Furious.  initially subpoenaed Holder back in the dark ages  --  October 12, 2011, seven months ago.    Since that time,  Holder has simply refused to obey the subpoena,  declaring that he has complied with the spirit of the subpoena  --------   as if his opinion as to his compliance was, somehow,  important in a determinative sense of the word.

While Rep. Gowdy and others,  see no alternative for Obama,  but to let Holder go,  I cannot imagine Obama going that route.  For one thing,  this is nearly June  -  far too late to avoid damage to Obama's campaign,  over the Holder mess.  While Holder's continued presence as Attorney General,  will only serve as a reminder of the tragic loss of life because of Fast and Furious,  to fire Holder, now, would be tantamount to a de facto admission of guilt regarding Holder and [perhaps]  complicity on the part of Obama.  Rather than deal with this problem a year ago,  Obama has chosen to ignore the issue,  hoping against hope that the whole matter would simply go away.

Now,  as of yesterday,  142 House Democrats have joined the posse on the prowl for those elusive Holder documents.   Obama has painted himself into a corner,  and now,  it is too late to move away from the firestorm.  He is going to get burned,  and the fire was finally lite,  with the House vote,  yesterday.
