The Libs are already "hedging their bets," hoping to salvage something out of the coming election cycle - and they are using reference to Sarah Palin to get the job done.

If you take the time to go to the Huffington Post, here,  it will take you to this hyperlinked caption which read,  “Following Palin's Advice Could Spell Trouble For GOP Candidate.”  In turn,  if you click on that link,  you wind up at a site discussing the recent Public Policy Poll (PPP) survey while making no mention of Sarah Palin  --  turns out her name on Huffington is simply a “hook” to take you to the following wording:

Candidates can sometimes pick up a slight bump in a state by picking a politicians from that state. Though, according to the PPP poll, of all prominent Republicans in Florida only former Governor Jeb Bush would give Romney any noticeable bounce. Here's the breakdown of an Obama-Biden ticket against a Romney ticket featuring various Florida polls.

  • Obama-Biden vs Romney-Bush: 49-46
  • Obama-Biden vs Romney-Rubio 50-43
  • Obama-Biden vs Romney-West: 50-40
  • Obama-Biden vs Romney-Scott: 51-40

At this point,  you really need to stop and think about what just happened.  You thought you were going to read a critical commentary on Palin,  instead,  you were taken to a poll and comments that encourage the VP selection of Jebb Bush.  Huh ???

Allow me to offer a bit of clarity:  the libs at the Washington Post are using their PPP survey in an effort manipulating the GOP selection for VP,  and in so doing,  move the GOP away from the radical reforms they see in the candidacies of the remaining three individuals.  They see Jebb as a “moderate” by comparison,  and are hoping that if they lose the 2012 elections, a GOP Administration will not assume office that will be dedicated to the dismantling  of all that they have worked for over the past 20 or 30 years.

This poll (the PPP) and related commentary has nothing to do with Sarah Palin being right or wrong.  Rather,  what we have here is the collusion of the Huffington Post and the Washington Post in an attempt at hedging their bets on the coming election,  and, in so doing, preserve or salvage some of what they had gained under Obama and others.

Point of post:  what we have, here, is subtle example of the Left's increasing discouragement with the coming elections.  Their internal polling must be so off the charts that they are in "salvage mode" with regard to what is about to happen.  Just a theory,  mind you,  but one that might be worth remembering.
