Can the Democrat schemers sneak out of North Carolina without anyone noticing? No one knows, but I do think they are going to try.

<<<<< What does this couple have in common with the Democrats in North Carolina?  They, too,  are thinking of ending a most difficult relationship.

Ode to the first of Democrat defeat of the 2012 campaign season

The reader should understand that the Democrats' selection of Charlotte, North Carolina has become the classic example of a sinister collective (the Democrat Party) over thinking its strategy.  Of all the swing states that pose the strongest re-election challenge to the Democrats,   a committed "red" state that voted for the very blue,  Barack Hussein Obama in 2008,  it is/was North Carolina.  The pointie headed theorists in the Obama war room,  decided to take on this state,  attacking the enemy's primary stronghold within the 12 state co-op that we call "swing states."    If they could take North Carolina,  again,  the election just might be theirs; so, the DNC planned its triumphant return to the center of the enemy's world.

But the gathering storm (for the Democrats) that is the coming 2012 elections,  has taken North Carolina completely off the table and has turned the clever scheming of the Marxist Misfits into a most difficult circumstance.

We begin with this fact: everyone knows that Charlotte is the nesting place for the  Leftist cabal facing their most serious setback since the end of the FDR days.  So, how can the Democrats put a saving face on their retreat from the center of the conservative world?  How,  exactly do they pull that off,  selecting another city for their mischief,  without admitting weakness and poor planning?

Or, do they continue their plans for Charlotte?  Think about what faces the Democrats in this fast approaching decision:

First,  North Carolina just voted for an anti-gay marriage law to the tune of 60% approval, the day before Obama was forced to come out of the closet as a pro gay marriage supporter.

Secondly,  they not only voted "anti gay marriage, "  they voted "anti civil unions."  That's right,  the gay pretenders can go elsewhere to play their silly games of dress up and mommy/mommy.

Third,  the governor of North Carolina is so unpopular, that he has decided to quit rather than face defeat in November, opening the door for a Republican takeover of the governorship of the state.  Imagine if this is the case and the pre-election polling becomes a constant drum beat of "the Republicans are coming,  the Republicans are coming,"  while the Dems are hidden away in the convention center.

Fourth,  and speaking of the convention center,  the most bizarre decision of all, perhaps,  is the fact that the convention is to be held in the Bank of America Stadium, a banking concern that received $45 billion in TARP funds, administered by Obama.  Such arrangements do not work well with Obama's war against the rich lords of this nation.

Fifth, within hours of the Tuesday election,  a pro gay group out of New York City,  calling themselves Gay Marriage USA,  published a petition that was promptly signed by some 20,000 gay types,  "across the nation" but mostly in New York City.  The petition was a protest against holding the DNC in Charlotte. Since writing this particular post,  the petition has been taken down and the net scrubbed of it reference.  Did one person sign all those names onto the petition?  It looks like we will never know but I am thinking . . . . .   more smoke and mirrors.

Sixth, as it turns out,  North Carolina is a right to work state.  If you remember,  the unions lost a bitter battle,  waged to keep Boeing in Seattle.  As mentioned,  North Carolina is a right to work state.  So too, is its sister state to the south.   Folks in both North and South Carolina find forced union membership and the confiscation of member dues repulsive,  even unAmerican. It is for this reason that the progressive, socialist unions of the North,  are most unhappy with the Charlotte location, and just to the south,  is that danged Boeing plant, brand new and employing 2,500 workers, all non-union.

Seventh,   there is the anecdotal problem of the state's Democrat Chair,  caught in a huge sexual harassment scandal that was the talk of the state's primary news cycle.  Bad press for the Dems, just as the campaign season is heating up.

Eighth, most of the hotel help in Charlotte are non-union staffers.  They are happy with their jobs and, did I say,  non-union?  Since 92 percent of all non-government employees,  in this country,  are non-union,  they represent the middle class,  the common man,  serving the upper crust of the working class,  the privileged and mighty attending the Democrat Convention.    All of this makes for a great election year metaphor . . . . . . for the conservative cause.

So,  we wait with baited breath,  to see just how Obama and his clever henchmen get themselves out of this pickle.
