Does Obama want high fuel prices during an election year? He laughs and says "no." We laugh and say "yes," and with good reason.

This is the cost of fuel,  today, March 10, 2012
in the Central Valley of California (Fresno).  Fuel
prices were 1.89 a gallon when Obama took office
after a year of recession !! There is no hope it will
get back to $3.40 a gallon during this year.
In the following AP story,  we learn of Obama's radio address, today,  in which he trumpeted his willingness to develop alternative energy  and increase automobile fuel efficiency. In his March 6 press conference,  Obama made fun of Ed Henry (Fox News) for asking if he (Obama) was deliberately keeping fuel prices high.  "Does anyone think this is a good election year strategy," he asked and, with that, apparently thought he had put the accusation to bed.

Well,  besides the retort, what is he doing about high gas prices . . . . . "for reals?"  And,  is there any reason to believe that he wants "cheap fuel" at the pumps?

Judging from his own words,  he is concentrating on two strategies,  pushing vehicular conservation (high mileage cars)  and working to develop "alternative fuels"  such as solar, wind, algae, natural gas and bio-fuels.  Think about this just before you start laughing at this idiot "plan."

How does wind or solar help fuel prices at the pump?

How does that work in the mind of a Harvard pinhead?  There is no bridge between a solar panel on your home and the cost of fueling your car at the pump.   "Algae?"  Actually,  algae does have potential as a replacement fuel for diesel - but will not effect the market place to any substantive degree for 10 to 15 years.  It's biggest problem, marketing wise, is the cost of production . . . . . . . . . an impossible $33 per gallon and that does not include transportation costs and taxes.  As things stand,  now,  algae is not a viable alternative at all.  And bio-fuels, in general,  will cost a minimum $8 per gallon plus taxes and transportation/delivery costs to service stations.  None of the alternative's Obama talks about have the potential of replacing fossil fuels except natural gas - at a production cost of less than $2.75 per gallon.

By the way,  if anyone tells me ever again, that Obama cares about the "little guy" and the middle class citizen,  I think I will get sick.  A "green equipped home,"  a definite possibility in the future,  will not be a home the average middle class American will be able to afford to buy.  The electric car is another expensive item,  out of reach for millions of folks.  Solar panels installed on an existing home,  costs around $35,000 and good credit will be required.  Most of the nation's poor are out of luck on this one,  as well.  Let's not leave off the extreme effect of high transportation fuels on food and clothing.

I am telling everyone who will listen,  that opposition to Obama is no longer a partisan issue.  This guy is simply attempting to do the impossible.  He does not accept council and, sooner or later,  all of this nonsense will come to an end,  and for obvious reasons.

Don't you love it when the Left tries to convince people that they are the intelligent class of homo . . . . .  ahhhhh . . . . . sapiens?

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is hitting back at Republican criticism of his energy policies and his role in controlling gasoline prices.
Obama used his weekly radio and Internet address Saturday to underscore his administration's work to develop alternative energy sources and increase fuel efficiency.
"I'm going to keep doing everything I can to help you save money on gas, both right now and in the future," Obama said. "I hope politicians from both sides of the aisle join me."
He accused Republicans of a "bumper sticker" approach to solving the nation's energy problems.
