(Reuters) - Nearly
two-thirds of Americans favor President Barack Obama's policy requiring birth
control coverage for female employees, including clear majorities of Roman
Catholic, Protestant evangelical and independent voters, a poll showed on
Thursday. . . . .
That’s the headline released
today, just hours before the Senate is
scheduled to vote for a bill that provides for an exemption of any law that violates the religious conscience of employers and organizations.
The Kaiser Family Foundation
took the survey, one designed to put
pressure on the voting constituencies in the Senate. The survey should be ignored, out of hand,
for two reasons:
First, the Kaiser Family Foundation is a quasi-governmental
association that works in collusion with
a Democrat attended advisory board, NPR and other Democrat/socialist support
entities. Secondly, we find fault with the survey because of its
dishonest parsing of a left/right population demographic. Here is what we found to be the case as to the survey's demographics:
Only 26% of those interviewed were Catholics. It is, then, disingenuous to argue that Catholic women support the Administration. In fact, Rasmussen took a survey last month and found that 59% of Catholic women think the government is over-stepping it bounds, that it should allow for the conscience of the individual.
As to party identification, 44% of those surveyed were registered Democrats; only 28% were registered Republicans. Of those who "leaned" to the Left, 49% admitted to such an alignment while 39% leaned to the Right.
Even in the male/female demographic, the Kaiser Family Foundation appealed to more women than men (51% to 49%).
As a final result, we must conclude that this survey was stacked in favor of the Obama Administration and its war against religion.
