The conservative grassroots rebellion within the GOP, officially began
with the 2006 elections, giving control of congress to the
Democrats. In that election, the Conservative Nation told the GOP
Establishment they were tired of four decades of compromise with Marxism
and were “not willing to take it anymore.” But “they”
didn't listen. As a consequence, in 2008, 5 million
conservative voters told the Establishment, "try winning an election
without us." “They” did - tried winning an election
without their base - with McCain - and got stomped.
Today, with this new campaign cycle, the
Establishment thinks they can force the Conservative Nation to the voting booth
in support of , yet, another sorely compromised Establishment front-runner as
they drive home the message of fear: "no matter what, Obama must be
defeated." "No matter what???" Is the base settled
in on having to vote another compromise "no matter what?"
The fact that Santorum won all three elections, yesterday,
when the prognosticators predicted "easy victories"
for Romney, means this: the conservative base is not only unhappy
with the Establishment choice, I believe it is rethinking the importance
of their presidential vote in 2012.
I can tell you this: speaking for myself, I am
seriously thinking that if we can't win with a conservative "let's
tear the Liberal edifice down" candidate, "they" can have
their Obama. Don't get me wrong, I know this sounds like blasphemy
and, I have not made a final decision. We all know what
this election means, but beating Obama is not the only goal. The
moron, John McCain, is running around the country like he is Mr.
Somebody, doing his best to lead the charge against the TEA Party
movement and that needs to be corrected, as well. The
real question of the hour, is this: has the Patriot Nation waited to
long to reverse the American brand of Marxism fed to us [in
concentrate] for the past 40 years? If we have, let's just
get it over with and saddle up with the "other third party,"
the Libertarians and figure out how we can win elections in that
alliance.
Point of post: to make the point that Santorum Tuesday was
a warning shot, fired across the bow of the sinking Establishment ship. Next
step, perhaps, after this coming election? Maybe its time for
an exodus from the GOP. I mean, if "they" are not going
to listen to their base constituency, maybe it is time for a third
party.
I can tell you one thing for certain: if Romney
is the GOP candidate, his VP choice will be the most important VP choice
in GOP [modern times] history. If he chooses a New England
“moderate,” well, that will have a profound effect on my allegiance
to the Republican party in the coming election and, I think, the
end to GOP political influence.
Santorum represents the lunatic far right. He is clearly unelectable. His success points to a further struggle and fracturing of the GOP base. GO SANTORUM.
