EASTWOOD SUPER BOWL AD: IT'S HALFTIME IN AMERICA...
Update: Note: the video accompanying the headline above is "dead" due to some supposed problem with NFL copyright issues. Does that sound right? "They" want to get rid of a commercial? But, of course, this much more than a commercial.
That (the above) is the headline. And it foretells the most interesting commercial aired during the Super Bowl. I have found a copy of the commercial but the pro-Obama NFL is busy trying to wash the internet of its production, so, by the time to get to this article, the link might be dead. Just know that it was very much "alive" when posted. (If you click on the headline above, you will find a "dead" video. The video below was taken from another source - The Blaze. We'll see how long it lasts before "they" find it and issue their final decree of silence).

This is the line within the commercial that jumps out of the
television and smacks the viewer in the face:
“This
country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again, and
when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines. Ya, it’s
halftime in America, and our second half is about to begin,”
While the commercial was the production of Chrysler, Eastwood's words, at the end of the spot, had special meaning to many conservative and disappointed Obama supporters who listened. Chalk it up to "unintended consequences." The fact that Eastwood is a Republican does not help, either . . . . . . . . . . or maybe it does.
Update #2: well, now "they" have prompted the first video. Guess it looked a little too suspicious to silence it. And, you really don't want to anger Dirty Harry, right?
Update#3: turns out that Carl Rove did not appreciate the commercial. Look, I took it one way and the fact that it was originally taken down on some websites is evidence to me, that the Administration originally did not care the video, either. I could be wrong, but, in this case, I think perception is reality. And it struck a positive cord with me, one that said, "Carry on."

Rove knows it was calling for an Obama 2nd term... thanking him for saving the auto industry.
ReplyDeleteDo you not care about the thousands of primary share holders who were cheated out of their retirement (police and teacher unions)because of Obama's plan to give GM to the unions? Did you miss the news that Chrysler is no longer owned by GM, but is owned (as in 100%) by the German company, Fiat . . . . . . at a loss of 1.5 billion to the American taxpayer? Or, maybe you missed the point that the Obama's big "rescue idea" was to put GM into bankruptcy? Or maybe you forgot that 700,000 net jobs were lost in Obama's GM rescue. Ah, but of course, "net jobs" is a rather meaningless term to you Obamanites.
