Amazing. After more than a decade, I find myself having to listen to the “same
ol same ol.” Are the stories of Newt’s
infidelity true? Yes, of course.
But they are old news – perhaps I should say, “They are old old news.” In this post,
I deal with two issues being used against the Speaker
First:
A
look at the developing story against Newt includes this headline. First of all,
his ex does not have Multiple Sclerosos and, secondly,
this story is far from being a “shock claim.” It has been public knowledge from more than a
decade
Update: Newt's wife was never diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; only that she suffered from an illness that was related to the disease. Obvious, years after the fact, she was not near death.

This really
is old old news.
Secondly:
Here is a
really stupid statement from a media prostitute who is pretending to be unbiased - and
she writes for Politico, the same bunch that did-in Herman Cain.
“But based on her
comments in the past about their relationship - Marianne Gingrich has said her
then-husband called to ask for a divorce by phone while she was visiting her
mother for her birthday in Ohio, and while he was leading the charge against
Bill Clinton over Sexgate - it seems unlikely that this is going to be a
positive thing for Gingrich at a
time when his candidacy is surging.”
(linked source)
“It seems
unlikely that this is going to be positive” is such an obvious conclusion as to
be idiotic. In this idiocy, the statement reveals the woman’s bias (the
author is a woman). Politico is all
about winning the election for Obama. We
need to ignore this bunch of media thugs.
Of course, this story cannot be
ignored, but , for the most part, I have stopped using Politico -
certainly never as a “news” source.
Here is a
letter from Newt’s two daughters taken from the Newt campaign. I will let it be the last word on this
matter.
The failure of a marriage is a terrible and emotional
experience for everyone involved. Anyone who has had that experience
understands it is a personal tragedy filled with regrets, and sometimes
differing memories of events.
We will not say anything negative about our father’s
ex-wife. He has said before, privately and publicly, that he regrets any
pain he may have caused in the past to people he loves.
ABC News or other campaigns may want to talk about the past,
just days before an important primary election. But Newt is going to talk
to the people of South Carolina about the future– about job creation, lower
taxes, and about who can defeat Barack Obama by providing the sharpest contrast
to his damaging, extreme liberalism. We are confident this is the
conversation the people of South Carolina are interested in having.
Our father is running for President because of his
grandchildren – so they can inherit the America he loves. To do that,
President Obama must be defeated. And as the only candidate in the race,
including Obama, who has actually helped balance the national budget, create
jobs, reform welfare, and cut taxes and spending, Newt felt compelled to run -
to serve his country and safeguard his grandchildren's future.
Maybe this
letter will add some balance to this story.
Case closed.
Update: this story is very similar to the one Marianne gave to Esquire back in 2010.
Also, why did ABC "News" release this story now, instead of next Monday? Because the Drudge Report caught wind of the release, ran the headline this morning, and forced ABC's hand, showing it to be the biased story that it is.

The problems with Newt are not going away. He is way too full of contradictions and warts that are way too plain to be seen. I don't want to support Obama and I don't want to support Romney or Newt. I think they all SUCK. I'd rather write my vote in than give any legitimacy to these jokers.
ReplyDeleteI am all for voting for a conservative but Newt is just not trust worthy. He has proven over a lifetime that he will stab anyone in the back and lie about it. If it were one time or 2 times maybe we should give him another chance but he's burned enough bridges. Its time to move on. Can we please stop with the corprocratic baby boomer candidates? Let's move on. This election is already wasted. We should just make Goldmann Sachs CEO president already. Enough with the charades!
You might have a point or two.
