Krauthammer says the obvious: a two month tax bill is little more than a two month tax holiday.

I really have nothing to add to what Charles Krauthammer had to say on Fox News,  the other day.  To think that everyone on the Hill is talking about a two month deal when it has to be a two year deal is incredibly partisan and incredibly stupid.  A piece of legislation that is good for two months is good for nothing,  and anyone who knows anything about financial remedies and stimulus,  knows there is absolutely no value whatsoever in Senate proposal just approved  - by all but 11 Senators.  It is all Democrat politics coupled with GOP stupidity and nothing more . . . . . . it is about the Democrats trying to get back into the game after three years of unbudgeted spending.

Here is Krauthammer per my notes as he spoke Fox News:

"This shows to an outside observer, who know about this stuff and have no political axe to grind. This is bill passed by the Senate is an abomination. It's one of the worst ever crafted by the hands of man. Saying that in this Congress is saying a lot."

"It can't be administered probably in time, and fairly . . .  It's nuts as tax policy, a two-month extension. A one-year extension isn't even a tax cut, it's a tax holiday. This  two-month extension is nothing more than  a long tax weekend. It'will have no effect whatsoever on hiring practices. The idea that Obama saying that this is a jobs provision is not going to have any affect on jobs whatsoever. So it's a terrible bill. . . . Democrats have set a trap for Republicans and they (the Republicans)  are going to get nailed on the politics of this matter."
